Chapter 20 – Choices and Consequences

 Later, the Shinoa squad took a military vehicle to go somewhere, with one of the Imperial Demon Army's corporals being the driver. At the back, they began to talk about their choices and the vampires. But, Atsushi, who was sitting between Yoichi and Kimizuki, was thinking about something else. And that something else is about Mikaela. He knows that after this part, he will see Mikaela getting by Yuichiro.

 "This will be shocking," he thought to himself while staring down the floor. "I will go to the Red Scarlet Army's headquarters in Yokohama to meet up with Yeager-san."

He will do that after the encounter between Yuichiro and Mikaela.

But then, one of the vampires' helicopters attacks them, causing the military vehicle to topple on the street.

The Shinoa squad, including Atsushi, is alright, but the corporal was badly injured.

As the helicopter kept on attacking them, they, except for the corporal, started to fight back.

Atsushi joins in fighting, but he starts to notice that the helicopter is not shooting at him at all.

 "What in the…?" he commented. "What are they doing?"

Nevertheless, he continued to fight, even with a regular sword.

Then, while he, Yuichiro, and Shinoa tried to help the corporal, the helicopter shot the ground, causing the road to collapse, and they and the rest of the squad fell somewhere down underground.
