As Adrianna continued to learn the blacksmith trade, Jax was arriving at the city of Karmen. It had a grand stone wall that surrounded the front, while the city grew into the mountainside. Because of the giant mountain range that went through the continent and the seas, Karmen's founder decided to build the city on the side of the mountain.

The lowest class was at the entrance to the city or outside the walls, while the nobles and rich merchants stayed within the innermost wall. On the edge of the inner wall, still inside the outer wall district, was a building made of good quality stone and wood. Unlike the slum area, this place was still treated well.

Inside the building were several rooms, joined by a long hallway. It looked like it would've been an inn of some sort, but it had been rented out by one group who walked around like they owned the place.

A tall, muscular man walked through the halls with the floorboards creaking under every step. He stopped at the farthest room down the hall on the right. He knocked and spoke, "It's Aaron." His deep voice practically shook the inn.

"Come in." A woman's voice came from the other side. Aaron stepped inside to find a woman staring at a chalkboard with papers and chalk markings all over it. It reminded Aaron of a detective trying to connect points in a murder case. She didn't turn around at all to greet him so he just waited by the entrance.

"How was it?" She asked. Her voice was sweet and a bit seductive. She had her striking red hair tied in a Dutch braid ending in a bun. She was quite tall but slender. Her long legs were covered by tight-fitting leather armor. Her ass was quite heavenly as well and even the stoic Aaron glanced at it before focusing on her back.

"Just how you predicted. You didn't say how annoying he would be though." Aaron sighed. He only talked to Jax for a few minutes at most but he already hated the guy.

'Why would Guildmaster Skylar want him to join the Nightwalkers?'

Aaron couldn't figure out why their Guildmaster wanted him in the guild. He was just annoying and overconfident thinking he could solo this game. It had been proven by many of the once top players in other games. They came into this game with a solo-er mindset, only to be stopped before even starting.

They could hardly progress anywhere as it took too much time, so they were too far behind the rest of the high levelers by the time they found parties to fight with.

"That's good," Skylar responded, "If he had accepted I would've been worried."

Aaron was even more confused but she answered his thoughts.

"Do you remember the one guy from Kingdom Conquest 2 who always PKed top players?"

"I'm sorry Guildmaster, I don't really remember. I believe I was still a casual player then, and it wasn't until KC3 that I got serious and joined the guild." Aaron replied.

Kingdom Conquest was the longest-running series of VR MMO games and officially closed its servers less than a year ago. They had been the top dogs for a long time since nobody could compete with their "realistic features" until Sentinel's Rising's trailer came out.

KC, as it was often referred to, had the basic medieval feel of most MMOs and was able to get 5 different main games that all connected to each other story-wise. It was where most of the current "Top Dogs" of SR made their claim to fame.

"Nobody knew who he was but everyone was able to agree on killing him if he interfered too much. A lot of people considered him to be the number one PKer but a lot argued that he wasn't since he was killed a lot as well."

She turned around to face Aaron revealing her beauty to him. She had a pretty face and a "flat is justice" sized chest. She smiled beautifully, "Do you know why he was so annoying?"

Aaron thought for a moment before answering. "I thought it was because he would attack important members of guilds but I assume that is wrong because you asked."

She nodded, "You are kinda right. He did target important members, but it was mostly because of his tenacity. Even when he died, or even when he was spawn camped, he never seemed angry. He was always laughing and making fun of us for bullying one person. He seemed to like getting under everyone's skin.

"There was even a time in KC4 when he was killed from the level max all the way back to level 1. Less than 2 months later, he was back to max level. Do you know how long it took the first wave of players to reach max level? Almost double that time."

Aaron widened his eyes but it seemed pretty unbelievable. "I don't remember that, did it really happen? You'd think something big like that would've spread all around."

If such a monster did exist, even if he was just carried by others, it was an impressive feat. Skylar shrugged her shoulders.

"It should've, but once he reached max level, he stopped playing until KC5 came out. Do you know his Username? He liked to use the same one for all the games he played."

Aaron really widened his eyes this time. "You're not telling me that KENNYYYYY is that guy right? There's no way he is that good."

Aaron didn't want to believe it. That was a player who had been on news channels as an infamous player who terrorized everyone. Now he was second-guessing the news he watched. Did they only say those things to make it harder for him to play? If something like that really was a ploy by big companies and their guilds it would make sense why he would stop playing.

"There's no way to know for sure if they are the same person, but I've only ever seen one KENNYYYYY in video games and it's the one who hunted all the top players at least once. Plus his favorite class was a ranged one, and the guy you met was a Marksman, right? They're supposed to be awful so far yet he might already be on his way here."

His Guildmaster spoke highly of him, almost like she knew him personally. As if she could read his face she answered.

"I don't know him. You can just call me... an admirer."

She turned back around to look at the chalkboard to hide a bit of pink in her cheeks. The chalk board was full of information on different guilds and current hunting grounds all around the kingdom.

There was also a star next to their beginner village with the name KENNY circled multiple times like it was important. If one looked close enough, one of the circles looked more like a heart before getting covered up.
