King of Goblins

Succie went flying into the rock wall causing it to crumble. Right in front of the doors was a giant green fatso about 7 feet tall. It was ugly and it's teeth were rotting causing its breath to turn into a greenish black vapor. It's skin was scarred and green and it was decorated with the bones of its victims.

It's belly bulges unnaturally like it was pregnant and it didn't even wear a loin cloth as it's belly covered it. In its hand was more of a lump of rock than a sword. It wasn't sharp at all and it was cracked in several places.

Jax was right about it being level 10, but he didn't expect it to have so much health. It would take quite a while even if all his attacks were crit headshots.

"This is bad," Jax said looking at the monster before him. He quickly glanced at Succie to find she survived, she was really low on health though so Jax had to think fast.

"Heal up quick! I'll distract it first so stay hidden!" Jax went ahead and quickly shot at its eyes racking up two crit headshots.

He swiftly rolled to the opposite side of the hallway so Succie could heal and the giant block of stone came crashing down on where he used to be.

The floor shattered and made the walls of the tunnel shake. Jax was wondering how the hobgoblin could leave the boss room, but maybe he was being closed-minded.

'So he's allowed to leave the boss room? That makes dungeons 10x harder.' This mechanism means all strategies for boss hunting from previous games go out the window.

It was common knowledge to plan ahead, but with no way to anticipate something like this, everyone was probably running like chickens with their heads cut off and still can't progress with this dungeon.

He doubled back to prevent being cornered and fired two shots at a giant green hand covered in dried blood and guts that came at him.

"GRRRAAAAAHHHHH!" The Hobgoblin cried out and swatted its hand backward shaking it in pain.

Jax ran back down the corridor as Succie followed behind at a distance waiting for the potion cooldown to finish.

To prevent players from spam healing, there was a 10 second cooldown between each kind of healing potion. The same went for mana potions.

Jax made his way through the corridors of the fifth floor, dodging attacks and dealing his own. He didn't have to worry about missing shots with [precision] and Succie had already caught up and began her own attacks from behind.

She would cast [Muddy feet] on the hobgoblin when the duration ended and 'bite' it's ankles with the help of the gauntlets.

For some reason, even without him attacking, it was still locked on to him. Jax didn't know if it had to do with the amount of damage he did, or something else, but the hobgoblin refused to acknowledge Succie.

She even caught up with his damage and now exceeded him, but it continued to pursue Jax.

'This game is full of surprises' Jax thought. The devs really added different features from your normal MMORPG type of game.

"Succie! Aim for the back of its knees and heels! Attacking vital spots are effective in this game!"

She nodded and did as told and Jax began aiming his shots at its knee caps. He found out from his many adventures in hunting wolves, that hitting vital areas worked just like in the real world.

If he could deal enough damage to a specific area, it would cause the monster to lose use of said area. Basically, if he hit its leg enough, it would lose the leg, or if he continued to hit its arm it would lose that arm.

They continued this for a while, slowly whittling down health and its movements continuously slowing down.

It got to the point where the Hobgoblin collapsed on its knees unable to walk. It was still dangerous, as it swung its sword around wildly, even attacking Succie now.

Jax couldn't figure out exactly what the trigger was for getting aggro, it seemed all over the place.

Since it was dangerous for Succie to get close, Jax continued to fire shots from a distance. Although it would take a while it was better to be safe.

After another 20 minutes, he finally took down the Hobgoblin. He was expecting a "rage mode" or something when the boss gets a buff for being low on hp but that didn't happen.

Jax did a spit take at the rewards he got.

"Holy shit dungeons are a jackpot with a small party." Succie bounced around with glee. Jax couldn't agree more. With just the two of them, they each got 5000 exp and a gold coin. Succie told him that she got something called the {Victim Necklace} which Jax assumed was the skull necklace around the Hobgoblin's neck.

Its effect gave the wearer a 5% increase in attack for every enemy within 15 meters of the wearer.

"That seems pretty OP. If the Hobgoblin was wearing something like that then I can understand why most players couldn't complete the dungeons in the beginner villages. Since they would most likely fill their parties to the current max of 10, they could be facing a Hobgoblin up to twice as strong as normal." Jax thought out loud.

Succie was still dancing around and drooling over her new item so Jax looked at his as well.

Jax had a second spit take and coughed violently afterward. Succie immediately came running over trying to comfort him by forcing him to lay on her thigh pillow. He was unable to fight back with her higher physical strength and continued to glare at a pair of tits since he couldn't see her face.

When he calmed his lungs down, he rolled away and got up. He cleared his throat a few times before speaking, "What grade is your necklace Succie? If its rare we got a problem on our hands. Also check if you can bind yours."

Succie zoned out for a second and her eyes pulsed a bit before coming back to reality. She nodded and began doing what she was told.

'OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! He called my name! That was so hot! Wait wait wait. I need to calm down. If my title activates he won't play with me anymore. Gotta think of something else...' Succie's mind was going ballistic while Jax was none the wiser but she eventually confirmed that her item was also rare and could be bound.

Jax thought for a bit, although it was good to bind an item, as it meant he would never lose it, he was unsure how many items a player could bind to their character. If it was limited, he would rather not use it and flaunt it. Not like he would do that anyway.

It was definitely a good item, but if this was the type of power he got only from a Rare grade, he could only imagine how op epic, legendary and mythic items would be. That wasn't even taking into account the mystery that was unique. He didn't ask, but he assumed that Succie's armor set was unique since it has pros and cons to it. Pros being it added a lot of stats even though she was low level and it evolved with her, and cons being her horniness and forced race change.

"Hey Succie, go ahead and try binding your item to you. I know it's only rare but I think it would work well for you seeing as you are technically a tank." What he said was half true, as it would work well for a tank, but she also wasn't a normal tank. He mostly wanted her to be the guinea pig to see if the system would tell her if there was a limit to bound items.

Succie nodded, not even questioning Jax anymore like she was a servant to him. Jax definitely had some questions about her morals and sexual preferences, but he wasn't one to judge harshly, he just didn't want to deal with her anymore.

A dark blue mist suddenly came out of the item in her hands and swirled around her. It eventually ended at her chest, just above her mounds of hopes and dreams, on her sternum. When it all condensed there, the mist looked like it went into her body and left a skull tattoo behind. Succie didn't look to be in pain at all, which was a plus and the tattoo looked much better than the real thing which was covered in dried blood and dirt.

"So?" Jax asked.

Succie looked right into Jax's eyes different from her normal horny gaze and said, "I'm bound to it, and the system didn't say anything about a limit."
