How to be a Demon 101

*CLANG*

Adrianna brought a hammer down on a red hot piece of metal. She continued to hit it to shape it into the desired form before putting it back into the fire when it got too cool.

She had recently been upgraded from pounding metal with her fists, to actual blacksmithing techniques.

After turning into her bigger succubus form, she was able to pound into the cold metal with more ease. She had figured out that her trigger word for her succubus form was anything related to Jax and her being a couple.

That would make her go nuts but it gave her the idea of keeping thoughts of Jax at the front of her mind. This way, she was able to hold her demon form for longer.

It was still very tiring but she was at least learning to control it better. After being able to reshape a cold piece of metal into a crude shield shape, Timold taught her basics the of running a forge.

She learned quickly, which surprised the dwarf, so he told her, "Ya need to have more confidence in yerself. Ya seem to think ya can't do somethin' even when ya haven't tried.

"If ya ever want to follow that weirdo ya gotta be confident in the thing ya do. Heck, just the other day he broke my firing range but didn't bat an eye when I showed up.

"You don't need to act like a jackass like 'im, but if you believe in yerself, ya will get better."

'Confidence. If I want Jax to see me as a woman I have to be confident!' Those were Adrianna's thoughts as her heart eyes pulsed in rhythm with her hammer strikes.

Her bright white body was a huge contrast to the usual gloomy atmosphere the forge had and she looked very out of place.

Timold knew as a Demon, a Succubus, and a White one at that, that she would stand out a lot from now on.

In order for her to use other forges as she learned, she would have to convince others that she wasn't a bad demon in addition to taking all the hate and criticism that came with being a newbie, female blacksmith.

It was a very male dominated field in this world so many, especially humans, would just shrug her off or try to get sexual favors from her.

She needed to grow a thick skin, and the easiest way to do that was expose her to what she would hear.

"Hey Demon whore! Yer hammer is swingin' less than yer tits! Ya call that blacksmithin'?"

While the last half of his statement was actually true, Adrianna didn't break down crying like she had done the first several times!

"Stick an ore in it shorty! You're just jealous that a beautiful girl is better at forging that you!"

She replied back with her own "insult" and giggled as she worked. Timold chuckled and a vein popped up on his forehead. Most Dwarves hated being called shorty and he was one of those Dwarves.

He brushed it off as he was proud she was learning.

If she wanted to survive in this world, and even the real world, she would need to learn to take criticism and dish it back out.

The other thing he had talked to her, was how she broke the old Gauntlets.

"Ya may not know it, but ya used a demon technique in yer last fight. That's how these cracked. It's made of a metal that doesn't hold magic as well as others. Do ya know how ya did it?"

Adrianna shook her head. "When I fight, I don't think I really think. I just kinda fight how I think how I should fight. If that makes sense."

Timold nodded his head. "It's not proven, but it is said that Demons circulate their mana through their bodies all the time. This gives them superhuman strength that most races can't match. The only ones I can think of are Titans but they're practically extinct."

Adrianna didn't know what Titans were but circulating mana through her body seemed doable.

It was not.

She found it extremely hard to move it. Humans couldn't feel their blood move, so how were they supposed to direct something like that?

Many of the NPCs said that circulating mana was like circulating your blood, but how can you do that unless you are super sensitive.

That's as also why there weren't a lot of mages in the human kingdoms, as it was too difficult for humans to grasp. They could still use magic, but circulating their own mana throughout their bodies could be deadly if not done properly.

When she asked Timold to help her he replied, "Do I look like a Demon to you?"

His snarky attitude didn't help at all. It seemed to the majority of races that weren't sensitive to mana, only thought of it as natural, or as a gut feeling sort of thing.

"If only I could meet an Elf or Demon, they're more helpful than you." She mumbled thinking she was quiet.

"What did ya say brat?!" Timold gritted his teeth and cracked his knuckles. Adrianna fell to her knees as the pressure he emitted was too strong even with her demon form. It proved just how weak she was currently.

"I'm sorry..." was all she could whisper before he let up.

"Get back to work!" She saluted and immediately went back twice as fast as before.

'I thought I was learning not working for you?' was all she could think off as she pounded the metal. She didn't voice her thoughts and focused on her task.
