You should have just stayed dead

Sienna's heartbeat was thundering in her ears. 

Every fibre of her being was reaching for Damon. All she had to do was tip forwards and their lips would meet. 

But would that be gratifying? To free fall in love with a man she wasn't sure she could or wanted to trust with her heart?

She wanted to believe that Damon was different this time around. 

He behaved differently, treated her differently and maybe this was enough to assume that he had real feelings for her. 

But Sienna had always known when to take risks and when to play it safe. It was what made her such an astute businesswoman. 

Leaning up on her tiptoes, she bypassed Damon's lips and pressed her lips to his cheek, feeling a hint of stubble as she pulled backwards and grinned up at him. 

"Come on," She tugged at him, "It's the otter feeding time soon!"
