♦Lucinda's POV♦
I get woken up by Travon and I rub my eyes sleepily, rolling away from him.
Everything still seemed the same but we've never been more distant, it's scary.
I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle…
"You should get ready, we can't stay here long." He says stiffly and I hum, going to clean up.
We leave the motel in record time and the girl behind the counter keeps throwing us suspicious looks but at least she keeps her questions to herself.
There's uneasiness rolling in my stomach, what would happen when we got to the castle? We should be there in an hour or so Travon says.
Said hour flies by in the space of a few minutes and soon enough the flashy imposing turrets of the castle comes into clear view.
I hadn't seen it yet and I can't help the awed sound that leaves my mouth when I do, it looks magical, like the kind of castles dreamt about by little girls.
