Jackson's pov.

"Come in " I ordered.

This maid dared keep an alpha waiting, today I shall teach her a lesson she would never forget.

She pushed the door open and entered, I stood backing her.

"Why are you just arriving? "

I waited for a while and there was no reply. The maid ignored me! My inside boiled with rage. I have been disrespected the most in all my life today. My wolf became restless, I thought to tear her apart but something held me back.

"Poor brat, you dared keep me quiet? " I yelled

"I'm sorry sir," she said going down on her knees immediately.

She is daring. Does she think she could insult me and appease me by just going on her knees? I will show her that people like her are served to me for dinner.

I went closer to her, loosened my belt and ordered her to get up.

"Do you know what I do to your class? " I asked.

"Sir? "

When I heard this my left brow proceeded upwards, she dared question me, I would have torn her apart but my wolf stopped me. A clear view of her and my wolf burned with excitement.

What was she? Whatever she is wouldn't change me so I don't care. I couldn't kill her but I needed to teach her a big lesson.

"I am hungry, go get me something to eat."

"Okay sir, I will be right back. "

"you will be right back? Are you stupid? How would you prepare my meal without the ingredients? "

"I'm sorry sir, I expected the ingredients to be in the kitchen. "

"Take this use it to prepare a meal for me. I don't care the magic you do but it better be done in 30 minutes."

I said as I took out my belt and gave it to her, the shock on her face made a smirk appear on mine, But this was just the beginning, she was going to cry tears of frustration.

There is no way she could get a meal prepared with a belt, Not even if she was given a year.

"Sir, how possible is a meal supposed to be prepared with a belt? "

"Do I look like a cook to you? "

"No sir, but..."

"No buts, if you love your life I have to see my meal in 30 minutes and it better be tasty or you wouldn't like what I will do."

"Okay Alpha Jackson," she said in a low tone

I became quite uncomfortable as the panting of my wolf continued, I wondered what was wrong I tried asking and then my wolf screamed "Mate."

My eyes widened, this maid was my mate? The moon goddess is sure so cruel, why her?

I have vowed not to have anything to do with any lady including any future mate's but at least my rejection shouldn't be someone of low life as her.

I was disgusted but my wolf was excited, her sight made me nauseous. I looked up at her face and I saw her eyes widen accompanied by a light smile, she must have figured I was her mate.

"Wipe off that smile from your face, Nothing is going to happen between us. I hate women, I hate love and I hate you, so maintain your lane."

I threw at her

"And secondly you know my meal is going to be your grave cause how on earth do you think a meal can be prepared from a belt? Now get out, go do your magic, you have 30 minutes. "

Okay, sir. "she said as she bowed down and turned to leave.

"what animal are you? You didn't even bother putting on a shoe before coming to see me! you disgust me. Make sure you wash your hands before preparing the meal. "

She bowed as she quickly exited my room

Anne's pov.

I left Alpha Jackson's room with my heart shattered and my insides in ruins, my wolf sobbed on the inside.

I headed to the kitchen with my head bent downwards, what was I going to the kitchen for?

I had no idea, I guess I would just get there and cry till guards were ordered to get me.

I said all this in my head as I fell to the floor in tears

Hey Anne, what's wrong?

I heard her voice, I looked up to that same face that had always been there, it was Elizabeth

I rushed up to her and hugged her tightly

"It's the Alpha, he wants me dead. He gave me his belt and ordered me to use it to prepare his meal in 30 minutes. How is that possible? "

I sobbed badly.

That's the alpha for you. He picks on the ladies of our class. But don't worry I will help you. I prepared some toast in the kitchen this morning, will give you some of that and take this belt, then you go and give him the toast.

"What if he asks how I did it," I asked in fear.

"Tell him "no magician reveals his secret", even if he comes to the kitchen to enquire he won't find out anything, I promise. "Elizabeth said with a smile on her face

"Thank you so much Elizabeth, you are a lifesaver," I said as I wiped the tears off my face.

Now wait here and give me that. "she said as she took the belt from my hand.

As I watched her leave I realized how nice of a person Elizabeth was, it was a nice thing I did, accepting her as my friend.

"At least with her here our lives might not be as miserable. "My wolf said.

I nodded my head as a light smile appeared on my face.

"Here, take this," she said as she handed me the tray of toast and a tea cup.

"Thank you, " I said once again as I rushed off to the Alpha's room.

"Alpha Jackson it's Anne"

I swallowed hard and then entered, he was sitting on the cushion close to his bed.

"Your food is ready, Alpha Jackson. "

"You must think I am stupid! Where did you get this food from? "He exclaimed

"With all due respect sir, I was asked to prepare a meal with your belt and you gave me 30 minutes to do my magic. "

"Yes! So? "

"Sir, have you ever seen a magician who reveals his secret? "

I sounded brave but my heart was no longer inside with me and my wolf paced around scared. I waited a few seconds and he didn't reply me so I answered

"The answer is no, so why should I tell you my secret? "

"Alex! "

He called out loudly, who was he calling? Was I going to be carried away for beheading? I panicked.

"Yes sir. "A sturdy voice spoke out, it was a guard. I prayed so hard that I wouldn't be carried out, the air got so tight and my hands vibrated.

"Go to the kitchen and enquire if the new maid made any dish there this morning. "

"Okay, sir. "

The guard left at his order. It was just me and the Alpha left, I could barely breathe, his fixed gaze burnt my skin.

He suddenly got up and took off his shirt then sat back in his chair and kept staring. Why did he do that? I swallowed hard, I didn't know about him but for me the atmosphere was intense. Then his phone rang

"Hello baby, "The voice said.

"Come over. " He hung up and then looked at me.

I was heartbroken once again

"Sir, it's Alex."The guard announced himself and then came in.

"Alpha, I have enquired and she didn't prepare any meal today sir. "

"Okay, you may go. "

Alpha Jackson said with a stern look on my face.

"Come closer," He said calmly.

Why was he so calm, I guess he was shocked I could do it. At this thought a smirk appeared on my face.

"You must think you are clever, Now gulp this tea in one go. " He said to me.

"Sir!" I exclaimed.

He ordered, with his eyes pointing at the teacup, why was he this cruel to me? I hated him. Luckily I was heat tolerant, I said in my mind as I scowled at him. I was going to prove to him that I'm not some girl he plays with, he might be the alpha but I am Anne Brown.

I took the cup of hot tea and gulped it down without trembling, I made sure to stare at him directly in his eyes then hit the cup on the tray with a force I couldn't explain. I could see the shock on his face.

"Now I will take my leave, and I will be going with the tray as you wouldn't want to eat what a maid like me has eaten from. " I said with a bow as I turned to leave.

"Stop. "

The Alpha's voice brought me back from wherever I thought I was. I swallowed hard.
