King Desmond was curious. He wondered why his wife was bringing a man towards the corridor leading to their bedroom and at that point, he was contemplating on whether to continue with his stroll or follow her to find out what she wanted to do. At first he thought of following her but changed his mind later on because he had never caught Margaret cheating on him before since their marriage. Though she had her own shortcomings, she had never given him a reason to suspect her, and aside that, he thought that it was inappropriate for her to bring in a man knowing fully well that her husband was around -- which could only mean that the young man was there for a different reason. So Desmond ignored her and continued to go where he intended to.
