Chapter 5 : Post-Job Inauguration

Everyone stood still looking at Neo.

It was as if the world has been frozen for a moment.

No one could believe what was happening before them.

Even Ling was staring at Neo in shock.

"You! The saviour of our world has finally arrived!" Aren shouted in excitement.

"Everyone, today we have witnessed the first Hero appearance in millenniums to come."

"No longer will we be oppressed from the Demon army"

Everyone in the hall started to cheer.

Although the current situation made Neo's headache a lot.

But at least his head was still connected to his body.

But what everyone didn't know was that Neo was a demon in his past.

He knew the whole propaganda of the Empire.

Humans are greedy, that will never be changed.

The Empire was filled with greedy people who only cared about profits

That was why when the Demons attacked, they are not worried about the peoples but the profits.

Hence, Neo decided not to go to the empire as it was something which will hold him back.

Although the appearance of the Hero was an grand celebration however the job inauguration must still go on.

After Neo was Ling.

Now the thing was Neo knew Ling was an hero in his previous life.

But now Neo is the Hero, what about Ling?

The whole process was repeated.

However, there seems to be a difference this time.

Instead of there being darkness within light like Neo.

Ling's light shined brightly and was filled with warmth and hope.

It felt as most holy.

Ling forehead than showed a symbol of hope.

As expected, it was the symbol of an hero however there was a difference.

It seems like there is a separate symbol of a halo and wings appearing right beside the hero.

It then merged together forming a new kind of job.

Aren who was supposedly used to any kind of shock was blown away again.

Aren was completely confused by what this Symbol is but he knew what job was confirmed already.

He shouted out "Hero!"

The entire hall jaw dropped.

"Behold! This is truly a blessing for us from the heavens!" Aren exclaimed

"We are blessed with two heroes today."

"They shall be the protector of the human world and protect us from the fiends beyond the realm!"

"We shall guide these two young heroes into beating the Demon Kings and ending this terrible war once and for all!"

Neo and Ling could only stare at each other in shock.

Neo felt like he was living in a nightmare and wishes he could shout "What is happening right now!?"
