Second Life Extra

"So I have really been transmigrated into a novel I was reading," Raze said while trying his best to remain calm and logical.

There had been quite a few clues about this world being inside a novel.

First was obviously the massive tower that had appeared in the world, but since a lot of stories had towers in them, he couldn't pin it to a single story.

So he just thought of it as a coincidence and moved on.

But the clues just kept on piling up from there, and the first one was the status screen, which looked identical to that novel.

At this point, he had a pretty strong suspicion, but he still couldn't be certain.

However, he became certain about his suspicion in the first tutorial.

The first reason was the purple-haired kid who looked identical to the character art of the MC of that novel or as he knew him as Asher.

And second was Alek, the hero, who used his charisma to turn the tables in the first tutorial.

All of this just led to the conclusion that he had reincarnated into the story of 'Necromancer of the Tower'.

"I can't believe this," Raze muttered, a bit of sweat forming near his left cheek at the absurdity of his current situation.

It was really hard to accept everything that was happening, as it was happening far too fast for his brain to comprehend.

He really just wanted to sleep, at least for a few hours.

Raze could feel his brain overheating due to overthinking.

However, the worst one was probably the possibility of this being another dream.

He had barely managed to walk again, and he wasn't sure he could accept losing his legs again.

But time didn't wait for anyone; he needed to rush and properly get a grasp of his situation before he was kicked out of the waiting room and forced to clear the second tutorial or die trying.

**

It had now been around 10 minutes, and Raze had managed to calm down and regain the ability to think rationally.

As he had said before, he was basically transmigrated in the novel 'Necromancer of the Tower'.

At first glance, it might seem like a boon to know the future, but that was only true if he actually knew the future and could use the information.

That's right Raze had only read barely 80 chapters of a novel with more than thousands of chapters.

Even the little information he had could not be used that well since the tower was random.

The main point of the Tower of Fantasia was how it was random and unpredictable.

What that basically meant was that even if he knew how to clear a floor or what to expect thanks to reading the novel, the chances of him receiving the same challenge as Asher were close to zero.

According to the few author comments he had read, the tower has millions of different floors and challenges, and after the tutorial, all climbers challenge different floors and experience different challenges, aside from a few exceptions.

And the whole story just revolved around that psycho of a main character challenging the tower nonstop.

All his future knowledge consisted of knowing how to clear challenges he was never going to face.

But that wasn't the only reason for his panic; the author of this novel is an extreme sadist who likes to make his character suffer for no reason.

Reading about Asher's story had even made him cry once due to how gruesome and pitiful his life was.

And compared to some of the other characters, Asher got away with the long end of the stick.

Heck, according to some of the comments he had read, the story only got more and more dark in the future.

At this point, Raze was certain that the author probably got excited seeing his characters suffer.

As if all of this wasn't enough due to his ascent Asher became extremely unstable mentally, thanks to all the tragedies and the nature of his powers.

What that basically meant was that the main character of this world, aka the 'chosen one', was a mentally unstable teenager with the power to wipe away nations and, if he had to guess, even planets in the future.

This is quite possibly one of the scariest combinations Raze could imagine.

Another thing one needed to take note of was that in the novel he had read, there was no character named Raze Brightheart.

Meaning he truly was an extra in this world and didn't have any of the heavenly plot armour the main characters enjoyed.

So with all this in mind, how was he, a 16-year-old incapable of even properly walking and without any special powers, supposed to survive in such a hard-core world?

'I'm fucked, aren't I?'

Raze couldn't help but ask himself.

However, despite knowing all this, he didn't lose hope.

Realistically, the chances of someone like him surviving in a world like this were basically zero.

So why exactly was he smiling?

That's right Raze had a wide smile on his face, even despite all the knowledge he had and the dreadful situation he was faced with.

The answer to this was simple: while he didn't know much, he did know one thing.

And that was what was promised for the one who managed to clear the tower.

It was the same thing the system panel had promised him from the start to get him to click the button and enter this poorly hidden death game.

As long as he could clear this tower, all his wishes would come true.

Meaning he could finally reunite with his sister Rose as well as his dead parents and get his happily ever after, like he always dreamed about.

Or at least that was all he wanted before, but now he had one more goal.

And that was to never die.

It may sound childish to some and even foolish to others, but Raze didn't care.

The black void had left a scar on his heart, and no matter what, he never wanted to go back there.

If that meant not dying, then so be it.

And since he was wishing for immortality for himself,he can also ask for it for his family.

So at the end of this inevitably long and treacherous path lied his perfect dream of living happily with his family forever.

Raze had finally found the strength he needed to continue on this dreadful path.

"Let's do this," he said with determination in his eyes as he prepared to challenge the second tutorial.

On this day, Alex White and Raze Brightheart became one.

They had become a second-life extra.
