Chapter 10

Kojiro sighed as he prepared himself for a potential foolish endeavour. He was currently in front of the mission board. While Kim Hannah made the visit she said nothing about not taking the mission henceforth he had no restrictions placed on him.

Kojiro had seen Jihu stare at it for a while. He knew that he should not snatch it before Jihu had come, but it was a first come first serve basis. He was only in for it for the achievement, he did not need points truthfully. He would probably just give it to Maria or Agnes, or maybe Jihu considering he was snatching the mission from him. Now while it seemed like he was a bit too nice. He just didn't need it, he had a weapon that served him faithfully and he did not need anything much either. Hence he only had a few things he wanted to purchase.

Divine Elixirs. To be able to increase one of your parameters by one just by drinking it? Kojiro needed some of that. It was interesting and would help him in the long run.

He ripped it apart as he disappeared from the hall.

Wyverns, wyverns everywhere. Kojiro stared, "How disastrous." His Monohoshizao gave off a metallic sound of agreement as it was unsheathed. The long blade gleamed under the sunlight.

Kojiro quickly gathered some mana on his foot as he vanished in quick successions. It wasn't too bad right now. A quick Hiken-Tsubame Gaeshi was enough to decapitate the wyverns and it helped train and reduce the time taken to execute said technique. Just as he was about to move on he quickly stepped back as a pile of shit landed. Unknown to him his blade, Monohoshizao had been strengthened every time it bathed in the blood of the wyverns.

Wyverns were a sub-species of dragon and the fact that the blade had bathed in the blood of wyverns made it stronger, and added light anti-dragon properties. "Hiken-Tsubame Gaeshi!"

Another wyvern hit the floor. All of a sudden he was met with a swarm. "I see why this was considered impossible, well impossible but wyverns and dragons are just bigger swallows."

"Hiken- Tsubame Mai!"

A quick burst as Kojiro appeared behind one dragon as he slit its neck. A few more quick bursts as they all fell down leaving the last one to be finished off with the Hiken- Tsubame Gaeshi.

Kojiro sat down as he huffed for a bit. If it wasn't for him utilising technique instead of raw power, he would have long been exhausted and dead. The final boss, he bet the Vixen must be worried about him considering he disappeared.

Though she would definitely punch him later.

"Ugh." Kojiro jumped back as he observed the the dragon, Fafnir. Sense of Subtle Elegance was already helping him land critical hits and increasing his accuracy but it was still far from over. He couldn't land a devastating blow with Hiken- Tsubame Gaeshi due to the dragon's constant attacks. "Tsk, such brute force is inelegant and brutish." The dragon roared as he swung down before breathing fire.

Kojiro jumped back and evaded before it could hit him. This was only possible due to the current [Mind's Eye] (Fake) Intermediate. However the dragon had not stopped its advances as Kojiro was about to evade he realised that the dragon had been narrowing the space down to a sure hit guaranteed area.

Kojiro watched as the claws swung at him. No he didn't want to die. He couldn't die, not when he had achieved what his previous predecessors had not achieved. In that instant he cooled his mind down from the chaos.

[Vitrify]

[All mental statuses have been cleansed]

In that moment as the claw almost hit him, his mind was in an all calm state. It didn't phase him anymore. He did not think about dying at all. Instead he focused on the slowed down perception of the claw.

[Mind's Eye] (Fake) Intermediate ==> [Mind's Eye] (High)

In that instant his perception of the claw slowed down as many unseen escape routes had revealed themselves out of perception instead of instinct like before. What he could not see previously he could now see with clarity. Kojiro gathered a quick burst of mana as he launched himself into the air before once again bursting of the wall of the cave as he quickly unleashed it.

The dragon roared as it tried to turn its head around to counter with a breath. Mana gathered on his arms as a burst increased the speed and power of his strikes.

"Hiken!- Tsubame Gaeshi!"

The dragon roared as it watched a single sword strike become three imbued with mana.

Odelette and Jihu along with a small crowd who knew Kojiro gathered as they watched the man appear. Kojiro appeared relatively fine at least until he walked pass them. Lo and behold a giant claw mark was shown dripping blood as he flung his Monohoshizao to rid the blood. He staggered all the way to the VIP store before purchasing his divine elixirs as he quickly contacted Maria.

Maria soon arrived at his room with Agnes who strangely came with a riding crop. Kojiro chuckled as Maria berated him as he transferred over some points to her. As for the rest it went to Jihu as he had no more use for it. He had what he wanted and Jihu was preparing to go for it as well. He had no qualms for getting rid of something he didn't need.

His healing finally finished as he stretched his back as a strike from Agnes came. His passive Mind's Eye warned him as he slipped under and soon left his room while thanking the two.

Soon an update came on his status.
