Janice sighs heavily as she looks at her sleeping daughter and all the things that Tyler's family had given her to begin her classes, it was very close to Christmas but they had suggested that she began now and get familiar with her class, surroundings, and subjects and then it would be easier for her to settle in come January. Thanks to him and his family she was getting another chance to finish her studies.
She had learned so much since she came here by helping his mother in the kitchen with her cooking and baking and thanks to his brothers, sister, and even his cousins and aunts she had also learned a lot about how to use a computer. She had chosen to begin with the practical nursing course and along with that she would be taking human and social biology, computer classes, and driving lessons.
She shakes her head as the reality of how much she had signed up for hit her; it was a while since she attends classes, would she be able to handle it all. She could feel the panic creeping up on her and she was about to begin freaking out when she felt a soft touch on her shoulder.
"Stop worrying, you're going to be fine," Ty said with a warm smile. "You really think so?" She asks in doubt. "I don't think, I know, and remember, you're not doing any of this alone, we're all here to help you, now I've to get to work so try and enjoy the rest of your evening alright, and I'll see you in the morning." He said kissing her forehead. He turns to leave after kissing a sleeping Faith but she grabs his wrist. "Wait, was your brother drilling you the way your aunt and sister were drilling me?" She asks.
"Not really, he just wanted to soften the blow that in a few months he will be getting what I've always wanted." He said in a solemn tone. "So what were they drilling you about?" He asks. "Well, they said that Kayla took you out of the church and they thank me for bringing you back in and that you're one of the good ones and I shouldn't let you get away." She said with her head down but he lifts her chin and smile down at her. "And," He asks biting his lips.
"And that we're very good for each other." She finishes. "Yeah, Caleb said something similar to that as well." "Well, what if they're right, what if you end up with another Kayla and me with another Leon, sometimes I still expect him to show up and hurt me and Faith." She said sadly.
"Hey, listen now, he won't, he can never hurt you again." He said hugging her tightly. "I think there's one way we can make sure that never happens again." She said against his chest. "How?" He asks massaging her back. "I could take their advice, throw caution to the wind and keep you for myself." She said looking up at him. And that would mean giving up on ever having a child. He thought as he remain silent and hugged her tighter instead.
A few minutes after Ty left Caleb entered her room, lean on her dresser and cross his arms. "Sooooo my brother finally seduced you huh?" He asks with a wide smile. "Why do you assume that it was him that seduced me?" She asks in a soft voice. "Well, if he didn't then that would mean…" "That I seduced him." She states before he could finish. "Yeah but there's no way, Nah, you didn't? You couldn't have?" He said in shock. "But I did, he did try to resist but let's just say I made sure he couldn't say no." She laughs.
"Are you serious right now?" He asks in disbelief. "Yes I am, I wanted him and he wanted me but he never would have made love to me of his own free will because he can't commit to me because I can't give him what he needs, so I knew I had to relieve him of that decision, and I did." "Damn girl, you rock and you're seriously going to let him walk away from you?" "I have to; I can't give him….." "For crying out loud stop, you already have what he needs, he wants to be a father and you're already a mother, do the math." "But she isn't his." She blurts out. "Doesn't matter, he already loves her as if she was but the question here is this. Can you live with seeing him in the arms of another woman?" he asks. "No, it would kill me slowly but I love him enough to let him go…to let him be happy." She said with tears in her eyes.
"There you go again with that selfless crap, it's the twenty-first century, there's more than one way for you to give him a child, I mean come on, put your heads together and come up with something, please and if you two still can't figure it out then Google it but do it soon and claim him before someone else does? Or should I say, claim him again?" He burst out laughing.

Kayla wipes her face on her blouse as she flops down on the seat next to Trish in the restaurant. "What on earth took you so long?" Trish asks in frustration. "The damn taxi, that's what, not to mention the exhausting heat out there." She said fanning herself. "I still can't believe Brandon did that to you, and here I was thinking he was a good guy," Trish said shaking her head.
"There was nothing good about Brandon, he was only with me for what he could get from me, I mean I could do without the other things but I need my car, that damn dirty stinker, he took everything," Kayla said wiping her face with a napkin. "But why, why now after being with you for so long, why would he do this now?" Trish asks in confusion.
"Because he's a thief, that's why, he was probably just waiting for the right moment to strike, that sleaze." She fumes with anger. "So what about the doctor, are you having any luck in getting him to forgive you?" Trish asks. "No, not yet, but I'm still not giving up." "I knew your actions would bite you in the ass, I told you to be careful but you didn't listen and now you may have lost him for good."
"I'm not in the mood for an; I told you so speech Trish so please spears me." Kayla snaps angrily. "Of course, you're not and since it may take a while for you to wear him down you're going to have to find someplace else to live." "I know, I'm planning on moving in with Tina," Kayla said sighing heavily. "I don't think you should do that Kay." "Why not?" Kayla asks annoyed. "Because she has been telling everyone at the club that if you had given her the jewelry that she asks you to lend her then Brandon wouldn't have gotten his hands on them, she said you deserve what you got," Trish explains.
Kayla snorts and shakes her head. "You know, she said that you were going to try and stop me and that you were the one spreading rumors about me but I don't care, the both of you can say whatever you want about me because I always land on my feet," Kayla said running her hands through her long hair.
"The truth is none of this would be happening right now if it wasn't for that backstabbing bitch Susan," Kayla said getting up. "Let's go get something to eat." She had just joined the line when she saw Susan enter the restaurant. "Well speak of the devil." She said in disgust and stormed away from Trish.
"This is your fault!" She shouts shoving Susan angrily in her chest. Susan stumbles backward in shock and braced herself on a table as Kayla came after her again. "That's all you're good for, pushing out babies and sticking your nose where it doesn't belong." Kayla sneered as she saw Susan holds her stomach and realized that she was pregnant.
She tried to shove Susan again but Susan slaps away her hands and pushes Kayla roughly away from her. "Are you out of your damn mind, seriously, you think that just because I'm pregnant you can push me around, are you crazy? As pregnant as I am I'll wipe the floor with your skinny rump, you clueless little twit."
"You thought I was jealous of you, all I ever wanted was the best for you because I saw how much your mother struggled with you, all I ever wanted was for you to put aside your selfish behavior and grow up," Susan said with her hands cross. "You think that I'm to blame for the fact that you no longer have your car or that you're been evicted from your home or that you've lost the best man you've ever dated," Susan said coldly.
"That was all you, you and that lying tongue of yours and the fact that even though Tyler took you back after catching you in bed with another man you still couldn't keep your legs closed," Susan said angrily even though everyone in the restaurant was now looking at them and most was even intrigued by the argument and was eager to hear more and Susan decided to give it to them.
"Not to mention you had that man paying forty-five grand per month for a house that was already bought and paid for and the fact that you don't have one honest bone in your body," Susan said straightening her dress. Kayla lunged at her again but Susan pushes her away and into a group of people who were gathered listening intently. "I hate you, you bitch." Kayla said pushing herself away from the group and coming after Susan all the while trying to ignore the surprised look on Trisha's face at the revelations unfolding before her.
Maybe she should've waited to catch Susan alone before confronting her but it was way too late for that now. "But seeing the kind of people you associate with no wonder you act the way you do, but if you're looking for someone to blame for what you're going through, why don't you look in the damn mirror," Susan said and stormed from the restaurant.
"I know that you make it a habit to lie to everyone else but I thought we were tighter than that," Trish said putting the food on a table. "Oh great, so now you're going to judge me too?" Kayla asks angrily. "Me, no way but at least now I know why Brandon cleaned you out the way he did." Trish snorts. "Now come on, we can go eat somewhere else," Trish said walking away from her.
