The following morning Mr. Jackson enter Fabian's room and saw Amara sitting by the window with tears running down her face. Last night he and his wife had given her something to eat, welcome her, and told her to get some rest, and now here he was. "Good morning, how are you feeling this morning?" He asks taking a seat beside her.
"Still in shock I think, I mean they're my parents how could they do this?" She asks turning her tear stain towards him. "I'm sorry for getting your sons involved in my mess, I just didn't know who else to call." She cried.
"No apologies necessary, you've been a member of our family for a while now and there's nothing we wouldn't do for family." He said with a smile. "I however am very sorry for what you're now going through." He said.
"I get it that they are angry but it's not like I'm a teenager, I'm twenty-five years old, working in a bank and making my own money so I don't understand why they're this upset." She said shaking her head.
"Okay so I'm their little girl and no man will ever be good enough but I just don't understand their hatred for Fabian. They kept calling him a delinquent, which he's not, he's a very good man, patient, loving, faithful and so many other good things. He has a good job and he's from a very respectable family so why don't they like him." She asks wiping her eyes.
"I mean they really hate him, they kept saying they can't allow me to have his child, the man I love and have loved for years now, I can't have his child, and they can't give me a good reason why?" She snorts.
"At first I just thought they were saying all that because they were angry, so I thought I would just give them some time to calm down but then I noticed they weren't calming down and then last night they told me that they made an appointment for me this morning." She half laughs, half sobs.
"And not to make sure that my baby and I were in good health, no, but to terminate my pregnancy, to kill my child, their grandchild and that's when I realized I had to get out of there, I had to get away from those people, my parents." She sobs again and he rubs her shoulder gently.
"I'm sorry and you're going to hurt for a while but just know that you're safe here and you can stay for as long as you want." He said softly. "And my family and I are overjoyed that you're having our grandchild and we'll do whatever we can to make you comfortable."
To his dismay that made her cry even harder. "Alright shh calm down. I'm going to see if I can get through to Fabian, come and get something to eat." He said getting up. "No thank you, sir, I'm not hungry." She mumbles.
"Have you had anything since morning?" He asks. "No sir." "Then come with me." The tone of his voice made it sound more like an order than a request. "Okay, sir." She said without further protest and now she understood what Fabian meant when he said 'when his father says move, you move.'
Janice sighs heavily as she stands next to the white Hyundai Tucson 4wd that Ty bought for her. It had been sitting in the garage for seven months now and she had still to muster up the courage to drive it. Ty had been trying to break her into driving by herself by driving her to an open lot and letting her drive around by herself for a while.
He has been doing that for three months now and finally, she thought that she was ready. Today was the day, she could do this. Taking a deep breath she opens the door slips in, closes the door, fastens her seatbelt, and starts the engine. She then cruises down the driveway and through the gate and down the road.
