Chapter 173 Don't fight

As soon as Caleb entered the room Ty place his finger over his lips and ushers him back out. "Is she and the baby okay?" He asks glancing over his shoulder as he was been ushered out. "Our baby is in distress and my wife was attacked in her goddamn bedroom, so no, she's not okay." He snaps.

"Sorry, stupid question." "No... I'm sorry, it's not you I'm angry at brother, you I'm actually grateful for." Ty said patting Caleb on his shoulder. "So tell me, how many bones did you break?" Ty asks looking at his wife through the window.

"None," Caleb growls. "You beat him to a pulp without breaking anything?" Ty asks arching his brows. "That's just it, I didn't even get to touch the asshole," Caleb said in a cold tone. "Oh, mom?" "No, while I was helping you guys, Maya called dad and told him what was going on and he called Uncle Keith, who came and took the piece of shit away. I even went to uncle Keith's warehouse to see if I could get my hands on the asshole but he wouldn't let me near him." Caleb sneers angrily.

"So what, she just let him walk out of there, get away with what he did?" Ty asks his fingers curling into fists. "Yes, that's exactly what she did, now uncle said that he's going to throw him in a hole where he won't see daylight for a long time, unfortunately for the asshole, I know exactly where he's going and now it's only a matter of time before I get my hands around his neck." Caleb snorts with a nasty smirk.

"Cuz," Jayden calls from behind them and they turn to face him. "I'm so sorry cuz, I was with her all morning, I didn't want to leave her but she said that she was at home and she was safe so I could go spend some time with my family. I shouldn't have left, I'm sorry." Jayden said in a worried tone.

"Hey, what happened was not your fault Jayden. She was home, she was supposed to be safe." Ty reassures him. "But I'm responsible for her safety; I should've been with her." Jayden sighs heavily.

"You can't be with her twenty-four hours a day Jayden, she was in her bedroom, that asshole attacked her in her own damn bedroom, and for that, he'll pay, you just keep doing what you're doing alright." Caleb punches Jayden playfully on his shoulder.

Later that night he was still sitting by her bed watching her sleep when she moans and opens her eyes. "Hey kitten, how are you feeling?" He asks in a soft tone. "Okay, I guess, is the baby ok." She asks massaging her stomach. "Yeah, we just have to try and keep your blood pressure down, they're going to keep you here for a few more days." He said massaging her fingers.

"I can't stay here Ty, Kayla is in this same hospital, it's not safe here." She said looking around her room. "Don't worry about anything, just leave that woman to us, she I know won't get within a few feet of you." He said firmly. "Are you sure?" She asks in a timid tone. "A hundred percent." "Okay, so what happened to the man that attacked me?" She asks. Biting her lips. "Well, Caleb didn't get to beat him to a pulp because while he was helping us, Maya called my dad and after hearing what was going on, he called uncle Keith, who came and took him away." He explains.

"Why did she do that? Why didn't she want him to pay for what he did?" she asks. "I don't know kitten, that girl has changed a lot since she got married, and not for the better, I might add. "But he'll still be punished?" "If Caleb has anything to do with it, then yes, he'll be and another thing, I was thinking that it's time we moved out of my parent's house…I…."

"Like hell, you will." His mother said from behind him cutting his sentence short. "Mom, please don't fight me on this. I'm a grown man mom, I've no business still living in my parent's house." "What's so wrong with that? And what if your parents want you there?"

"There are so many people going back and forth, mom…I just think…." "I don't want to move," Janice said cutting him off. "Excuse me," Ty asks his wife in surprise. "After what happened, you still want to live there? Kitten…." "Please… don't ask me to move baby, I know your intentions are to protect me but what happened, could've happened anywhere and it may have been worst if we were living alone." She said softly.

"Kitten…I….." "Please baby, please don't move." She sobs. "Okay…shhh…alright, please don't cry, I'll do whatever you want." "Thank you, baby." She smiles and his mother smiles brightly. "Are you sure?" He asks. "Yes, yes, she's sure, you're both staying, end of story, now come on sweetie, it's time to eat something." His mother said still smiling.
