Chapter 119 Super rich

Scott was trying to finish up his assignment before lunch when Andrea walks over to him. "I never took you for a sell-out, Scott." She said sounding hurt. "Excuse me." "A sell-out, you heard me, we were very good friends before you start talking to that seventh grader and all of a sudden everything is about her, your whole world now revolves around her and none of us could figure out why but now we know."

"Enlighten me." He said highlighting a paragraph in another book. "It's because she has money, wait scratch that, her adopted father is loaded which makes her also very rich, so all this has been about money all along, well at least now we know. Well, have fun with your personal little bank account." She snorts walking away."

Scott took a deep breath as he got up, close his books, put them in his bag and walk slowly from the classroom. He was on his way to the lunch area to find Jasmine when she runs over to him jumping on his back. "Hi, Beck." She laughs. "Hi, Chipmunk." He said trying to shake her off but she held on.

"Um Chipmunk, is there something you forgot to tell me about yourself?" He asks in a serious tone. She hops off his back and came to stand in front of him. "Nope, you know everything about me now." She said jumping from one foot to the next.

"I don't think I do because someone just informed me that the only reason I'm friends with you is because you're rich as in very rich." He states as she went completely still and bend her head down. "There's a reason I didn't tell you about that." She said softly not looking at him.

"Which is?" "Because it's going to change everything between us. Money always changes everything, you can't tell if someone is your genuine friend or just friends with you because of your money but not you, I know you're my genuine friend and I didn't want that to change." She said her head still down as she speaks.

"Okay, I guess I can understand that and I promise you nothing will change between us but just know that other people's opinions will change, can you handle that?" "As long as our friendship doesn't change then yes." She said in a hopeful tone.

"Alright then Chipmunk, let's go get us some grub." He said dragging her towards the lunch area. "So will you be dancing at your cousin's engagement party?" She asks as they wait In line for their lunch. "Yep." "Can I join your dance team? I want to learn to dance like you." She asks in an exciting tone. "I don't see why not, Chipmunks are usually good dancers." He laughs and she slaps him in the back of his neck which made him laugh even harder.
