Ava looked at Devon with fear in her eyes. She never thought that with just a wave of his hand, all of her strength would leave her.

She had never felt this weak before, not even when she first came into that world.

But now, looking at those cold eyes, like a snake about to take a bite, she felt chills run down her spine, and fear she had never felt before flooded her heart like a raging tsunami.

Even without him speaking, the fear that Devon excluded was so overwhelming that it caused her breath to hitch and her fear to spike up a notch.

Though he was only casually saying things, Ava who knew how ruthless he could be paled at the mention of cutting a limb out from her.

She shuddered at the very imagination of being cut apart by a sword. Maybe, it would not be just a limb but two!

"Y-You dare!"

Ava tried to act as stubbornly as possible but the stutter in her words made it clear as day that she was actually nervous deep down.

Sweats were already forming on her forehead. All of her limbs had gone weak from fear and the obvious display of Devon's overwhelming power being focused on her, only on her.

If she knew that this would happen, she would have shut her mouth! Why did she have to be so nosy?!

But, he was so coldhearted! How could a 'kind' person like her just ignore what was happening in front of her?

Right, she was not in the wrong! It was him!!

Having resolved her thoughts, she glared at him again. Her strength came back as her resolve strengthened.

Truly a female lead, no matter the situation, her thoughts are always so self-centered only thinking about herself and her beliefs.

"Do you think that if you glare at me like that, I will thaw like ice, or perhaps my body will be filled with holes?" Devon smirked.

"I wish that would happen!" Ava barked.

"You are imagining too much. That will never happen. Even if you glare at me, nothing will change. You better think about how you would survive now that you are in my hands than my death which is very unlikely."

"Human emperor, you whose heart is eaten by a dog, reincarnation of the Devil, I, the Hero will never bow down to you! Even if my body is tortured and my soul rip apart, even with my death I will curse you and this kingdom a never-ending chaos. Peace will never come in your reign and your descendants!" Ava cursed out loud.

"Ow. That is a very intimidating curse."

Devon was more amused than afraid of hearing the FL's curse. She was not yet tortured but she had already said her last words.

As if responding to the FL's words, thunder rang on the horizon, the sky darkened, and clouds that were as if aflame rose into the sky.

"Ah! What is happening?!"

"Did she really curse us?!"

"Your Majesty, what shall we do? The Hero's curse is coming true!!"

The remaining officials screamed like headless chickens, they were such a bunch of cowards that their knees were already touching the ground. All that's left is to kowtow to the FL like she was some sort of Goddess and ask for her forgiveness.

Devon sighed.

"Hahaahahhah! Human Emperor, are you afraid now? This is a Hero's power! Even the heaven is on my side!"

Ava who had long been freed from the coward of a knight's detention looked at Devon arrogantly. She raised her head like a proud peacock and like a dog who wanted praise.

"Your Majesty, please ask the Hero for her forgiveness, or else this Kingdom is doomed if the Hero's curse comes true!" A coward official said which the other coward officials agreed upon.

"You lunatics! Have you had enough of embarrassing the Emperor because of your cowardness?!"

The Highest Mage who was about to faint in anger a few minutes ago was back on his feet and even had the energy to scream and yell at the cowardly officials. His face was so red that he looked just like a ripe tomato.

"But..."

"There is no but! The emperor is the son of heaven and you want his Majesty to apologize to this sorry excuse of a Hero? Never! I'd rather have the sky falling on us than His Majesty lowering himself to this abomination!!!"

The Highest Mage fumed and cursed the FL on the sidelines, he was so angry at them, everyone, that he almost fainted in anger again if not for Mathew helping him on the side.

The ML who was supposed to be the FL's shield and sword can even be her dog, had not even expressed the will to help her anymore ever since she disrespected their teacher.

He was like a big piece of block of ice staring coldly at the FL, he had also become a spectator watching what would happen next.

The FL who had been cursed from the moon and back played deaf to the old man's nonsense. 

Her line of sight was only focused on the handsome man sitting on the throne, she stared back at him smugly.

"Dog Emperor, it is best that you come kneeling down in front of me before my curse destroys this Kingdom."

Devon put on a troubled face like he did not know what to do, his thoughts were, what an idiot.

"Guards! Protect the Emperor!!!" The High Mage yelled while being protected by Mathew.

The officials were in chaos, the FL writhing in pain like a salted worm on the floor, the ML on the other hand who was supposed to be protecting the FL who was her heaven-sent s*x partner was instead sticking to his ever-so loyal Highest Mage like a loyal dog.
