After taking a secret route and had gotten outside the premises, Max turned to look at the guard that came with them. "I will make sure they get home safely, you make sure the others concentrate on taking down the assassins." Max said.
Before Max could end his speech, five young men and a sexy looking red haired lady had gotten to where they stood.
The guys were extremely good looking as well, with their hair tinted in flashy colors, the type that calls for attention.
They were all putting on expensive outfits, that gives off the 'bad guy' vibe.
"Boss." They bow their heads to Max and one of them passes president Smith's guard a black bag.
"That's a sniper. You take the advantage and go help the others." Max said and dismissed the guard, while Emma couldn't take her eyes off him.
If anything, this man is so beautiful. The way he handled things was like he had known such a situation would come up.
His men looked at him with admiration and were grinning as if worshipping him in their head.
Emily wasn't shocked, because she had also just returned from abroad with her brother and knows those guys.
They look so sweet, but they are deadly. She has no idea what other power her brother has aside from their family's influence, but she knew he was dangerous.
He was dangerous, yet very kind and caring. He gave people what they deserved.
"Thank you, Max." President Smith said, while his hand still held Emma's own tightly. If anything were to go wrong, he would rather get killed than his baby.
Emma wanted to thank him as well and apologize, but Honey had read her thoughts and reminded her that the real Olivia smith would never do that.
It would be good to apologize and get close to Max, but she has to slowly break down the wall of Olivia's character.
If Olivia were to be here, she would roll her eyes that her father thanked Max and told him that they could have handled it without his input.
Emma would never say something like that. And to be honest, she's still feeling weird.
The couple shielding her with their body seem to love their daughter very much. She pitied them, because Olivia's tongue alone could make people want her dead.
She hasn't uttered a single word since they left the hall and walked through the underground exit. She could feel how Olivia's parents were looking at her with concern, but they chose to focus on the pressing matter at hand first.
'Should I remain quiet?' Emma asked Honey.
"It's up to you, but if you wish to say something, you must not go out of character. You've already put confusion in her parent's heart. You have to find a way to make them relax their mind and believe that nothing is wrong with you.
You have to make her life better and scaring her parents isn't making it better." Honey said.
Emma nodded her head and concentrated on what Olivia would do in such a situation. Immediately her mind drifted to it, memories of how Olivia looked feisty and fighting like a maniac surfaced.
"Oh god!" Emma exclaimed and everyone turned to look at her, except Max. He just didn't want to see her.
Being around her made his inside boil.
"Are you alright, baby?" President Smith asked, while Max's men raised their brows at her.
Emma was jaw dropped. Olivia wasn't only good with her mouth. She's damn good at fighting.
The way she moved her body was abnormal. Emma knew she couldn't slap someone without her hand hurting like hell, but Olivia's punch made well built men dropped to the ground.
The way she pulled out a knife like a butcher and made use of guns was super cool.
She doesn't stay at a corner and let her guard do the fighting, she picked an opponent as well….. And oh dear god!
How was Emma supposed to do all that?
Olivia's frosty gaze when stabbing an opponent…. Damn! She was a murderer.
That girl had killed a lot of people.
"Baby?" Emma's mouth remained wide open, as her head snapped towards Laura's direction.
Olivia was so cool. She was just Emma. What if such a situation occurred again?
She couldn't even bring herself to slap someone. How was she going to move her body like that and oh dear god! Shoot someone?
Honey remained silent.
Emma blinked as she saw Laura's eyes filled up with tears. She looked scared with the way Emma was behaving.
Emma realized one thing immediately. Being rich isn't everything.
Even though she was poor, she had freedom of movement. When she only had water in her stomach, she had peace of mind.
What's the point of being rich and living in fear?
What's the point of eating pizza and shawarma, when you have to make someone taste it first, to make sure that it wasn't poisoned?
What's the point of stepping outside your house and being guarded all around?
What's the point of leaving the house and her parents wouldn't feel at ease till she returned home in one piece?
What's the point of having luxurious cars and couldn't ride it as you wanted, without being caged in between guards that were at alert to shield her life with their own?
The only enjoyment Olivia derived from those cars and wealth, were praises on social media.
She was practically caged. Her life was a mess.
Emma had always felt unfair over her life, but she realized that she prefered that to this one. She wished to go home now.
She doesn't want any of this. She needed to work fast on the system mission and leave this place.
There's no way she would be staying longer in this world.
With her gaze full of determination, 'Honey, please guide me. I want to get this over with, as soon as possible.' She said to Honey in her mind.
"Ask me anything and you got it." Honey replied.
"Let's leave mommy." Emma said to Laura, her expression taking a 360° turn.
"Are you okay baby?" Laura asked.
Emma stared at Max, and their gaze locked. After Emma had wasted their time, by looking so lost, he couldn't help looking at her as well.
"Next time, don't make me dance with that man." Emma said, her heart pounding madly.
Was she doing it well?
She got her answer immediately, because Laura and president Smith looked relieved, while Max's face turned beet red.
Max's men and the sexy lady that was dressed in very revealing clothes and came with them, had their Mouths wide open.
'Did a girl just say she doesn't appreciate dancing with their boss?'
This is epic.
I will try to upload one more chapter today, so please vote for the story. it's still under the wpc contest and needed it.
What I'm also trying to make both girls realize was that, being rich isn't always good and being poor isn't always bad.
Everything in life happened for a reason, so no matter the situation, appreciate what u have(^_-)
Happy reading!❤
