Ephraim kept on remembering Yael as he runs back to where Dayie is. He kept on remembering the look he had before he had died from the hands of the giant necromorph. Ephraim, at that moment, felt that he had to fulfill whatever Yael asked him to. He felt like it was what was needed to be done. So, Ephraim took the courage to go to the country Yael was willing to save… even if he actually has no prior plan. It was unlike him, to go unprepared.
He was an archaeologist, ready to excavate digs and collect artifacts and handle them with delicate care. That was what he was meant to do, and what he wanted to do… but here he was now, brandishing a sword that have some tendency to burn on the way to save a country whose human rights seem to be cut from the law.
Ephraim halted as robed men fell from the sky, blocking his way.
He immediately recognized who these people were.
