Alice Garcia had a serious look on her face. "I don't know what's wrong with Brandon Chen. There are so many scandals about that slut online, yet he still favors her so much."

Elizabeth calmly patted Alice Garcia's shoulder. "Since he can sit in the position of the Chen family CEO, he is naturally not a fool. How could he believe those rumors like those brainless fans?"

Alice Garcia looked dissatisfied. "Are we just going to watch him become Jane's next husband?"

Elizabeth shook her head. "Although the Chen family doesn't have the same status as the Johnson family, it's not much worse. How could Brandon Chen's parents allow their son to marry a divorced woman with a child, especially one with a tarnished reputation who has cuckolded her ex-husband?"

Upon hearing this, Alice Garcia's eyes brightened. "Yeah, I was really overreacting. They haven't even tied the knot yet, and I'm already losing my mind."

Elizabeth reassured her with a smile. "Don't worry, as long as I'm here, Jane won't take anything away from this family."

Alice Garcia's anxious heart gradually calmed down. She hugged Elizabeth and coquettishly said, "Thank you, Mom."

That night, Jane and Jack stayed at the Garcia's residence.

Before going to bed, she saw Elizabeth making ginseng tea in the kitchen and walked over. "Mom--"

Elizabeth was startled by Jane, either because she was too focused or for some other reason. She turned around and gave Jane a slight rebuke, patting her chest. "You child, why do you walk without making any noise?"

Jane apologized with a smile. "Mom, I want to settle down at Starlight in the future. Can I be your assistant to help you? Would that work?"

Elizabeth frowned imperceptibly.

She was now the general manager of Starlight, so having Jane as her assistant would mean having a deputy general manager.

It sounded nice, but not feasible.

"You studied art all your life, and you can only sing. Management is completely different, and you..." She paused for a moment, speaking kindly but firmly. "Those scandals online recently have not been good for you. If you were to be promoted to the company's vice president, it would bring negative effects to the company. It would be better to wait for a while."

"I got it, Mom," she smiled and accompanied her in making tea. After it was brewed, she watched her pour a large cup and hand it to Emma Garcia without a care.

She stood there quietly for a while, looking at her parents' closed door before returning to her room.

The next morning at breakfast, she told Emma Garcia that she needed to go back home to take care of her child since there was no one else to do it while she worked at the company. Emma Garcia didn't object and even invited Brandon Chen over for dinner sometime.

She nodded with a smile.

After dropping Jack off at kindergarten, she went to Starlight.

Despite having the title of Miss Garcia, she had no real power. In the past, as a top artist in the industry, she was respected by everyone and treated with courtesy. But now, her reputation was ruined, and the artists at the company looked down on her and didn't take her seriously.

Especially Sarah Ford, who had been kicked out of the office by her. When she saw her, she glared at her like an enemy.

The whole day, she sat in the office contemplating how to gain a foothold in the company.

At the same time, Alice Garcia received a call from Carl saying that Grace Hayes had gotten into trouble.

When Alice Garcia arrived at Carl's apartment, he sat on the sofa with a defeated look on his face.

"What happened?"

Carl looked up eagerly and said, "Grace Hayes has been arrested by the American police and is expected to be imprisoned for 50 years."

Alice Garcia raised an eyebrow, "It seems like she's more successful at ruining things than succeeding."

Carl shook his head, "It's not her fault. Everything was going smoothly, but then someone came forward and said that it was the front desk who framed her. The front desk realized that something was wrong and blamed Stella Ford instead. Stella Ford was caught while trying to escape, and she was caught by John's people."
