“No, I’d like to meet him, he has a beautiful voice.”

“He good boy.”

Colin had a hoodie he wore that covered most of his face. Mr. Zháo and his cook, Mr. Lee were used to his appearance, but he sometimes shocked the customers, so he tried to keep the right side of his face hidden by his hoodie. He didn’t want to disgust the clientele. Mr. Zháo and Mr. Lee didn’t seem to mind. Zháo’s was one of the only places, besides school, he could relax outside of his apartment. They were used to his face by now.

Mr. Zháo had Mr. Thierry’s order ready in twenty minutes giving Colin ten minutes to bike the two blocks to Gramercy Park. The address was a pre-war building converted to condos, and he hadn’t been there since he started with Mr. Zháo a year ago—maybe because he usually didn’t work Mondays.

Mr. Zháo made it very clear that he was to treat Mr. Thierry carefully. “He excellent customer. When here, order every Monday, day his cook off. No complaints. Do what he want.”
