Chapter 13

As I stare at Winter standing in the middle of the gym, I felt a seed of curiosity grow as I saw her face still emotionless. From a person who lived outside she sure is too calm in this situation. Most people from the city would be panicking by now as it is their first time in this kind of fights or if they really are unlucky, sometimes it is their first time in fights at all.

However Winter here still stood in the middle staring at the butterfly girl. Her intense gaze would make anyone cower as I felt her aura intensify.

Seriously, what's with this girl?

The butterfly girl attacked first due to her impatience. She opened her mouth and her tongue came out. It's a very long tongue that opens itself on its end with sharp teeth accompanying it.

She went near Winter and attacked her using it, attempting to bite her neck off or simply bite her.

Keyword, ATTEMPT.

Winter just kept on avoiding her attacks with ease, her speed and agility could clearly be seen by how she moves. She moves gracefully yet with power. Like a water with high pressure and for a moment I doubt if she really is a fire player with how fluid she moves.

That doubt however was quickly thrown out of my mind when I saw her throw fireballs to the butterfly girl, intentionally grazing the girl in her arms,legs and face. Making the butterfly girl yelp or groan sometimes.

It is then that I realize that she's mad at the girl, she's playing with her enjoying the girl's yelp or groans of pain with a not so subtle smirk on her face.

We heard a loud scream from the butterfly girl as she finally fly to the air. All of us look up to the girl as we see the once beautiful butterfly girl lose her composure and beauty. Her arms also elongated with very sharp nails. Her beauty is gone as she changes into an almost unrecognizable creature with all of her arms,legs and face full of grazes and wounds bleeding. Anger could clearly be seen from her as she stares at Winter's grinning face. I guess she realized that she became Winter's toy.

She again attacked Winter, this time with her long arms and nails from all directions. But this didn't faze Winter as she still kept on avoiding her attacks and still kept on playing on the girl. The girl kept on yelping or groaning more and more as Winter kept on grazing her. Almost all of her fireballs graze the girl since she is really mad and now couldn't think straight.

Both Reven and I looked behind us at Luke when we felt someone tap our shoulder.

"What?" Luke pointed at the left out Sapphire in the ceiling and both of us looked at her.

At first you'll notice nothing, but then I saw the small fire that's burning the rope that's connecting Sapphire to the ceiling.

"Sapphire!!" Reven shouted in pure worry. He even stood up from his sit. He really is overprotective. Well I can't really blame him, that'll also be my reaction if my younger sister is in Sapphire's situation.

His shout made all of our watching classmates as well as Sir to look at the ceiling and gasps could be heard as they saw the little fire in the rope.

Our attention was on Winter again when we heard her chuckle.

"Oh Little butterfly, don't be too mad. We're simply having a game, aren't we?" I seriously felt goosebumps at her cold and taunting voice.

Winter's opponent was caught by surprise with her taunting cold voice. It seems like Winter is having fun when she's clearly having a hard time landing a hit on her.

I guess she underestimated Winter's ability. She thought Winter is at least having a hard time avoiding her when it's the complete opposite. Winter's audacity to even taunt and intentionally graze her attacks playing with the girl scared her. This caused her to stop her attacks, terrified at the girl in front of her. And honestly, even I stopped working when I realized all of this.

Just who are you Winter??

The grin on Winter's face widened as she knew her effect on the other girl. A series of 'tsk's' was then heard from Winter.

"You must not lose your focus" she said and I stared at her, surprised by how fast her mocking face was gone, replaced with a serious one.

Is she bipolar or something like that?

This caused me to not see how Winter suddenly burned the girl's wings and in an instant, they're just mere ashes on the ground. The butterfly girl yelled in pain and when I turned to her, she's already falling to the ground. However my attention was quickly diverted to Sapphire as she also started falling because the rope is now broken due to the small fire.

"Sapphire!!" Reven's loud shout covered the series of shrieks and gasps from our classmates.

But then I guess this is all unnecessary as Winter simply jumped and catched Sapphire mid-air. I heard Reven took a deep breath in relief. "That girl is crazy I swear" I heard him say to the twins beside him.

When Winter saw that Sapphire was okay, she put her down and looked at the butterfly girl who's now weeping at her ashed wings.

I saw Vhon standing up in my peripheral view and shook his head at Winter. That got me frowning at his actions.

Winter however ignored him and within seconds the crying girl is now inside a ring of fire and every step that Winter took near her it shrinks to the girl in the middle. The girl stopped crying and pleadingly stared and Winter. Fear, sadness and anger present in her eyes. I saw our teacher stand up in worry and shock. Who wouldn't be, no one dared to do those things ever because they can't do it. They're too weak for it. Burning a part of a body of a creature like the butterfly girl requires a lot of strength and even if someone could do it, they can't since they're afraid to receive a punishment from the school.

"Times up!!" we heard Sir shout. And for a minute I doubted if the time is really up or he just wants to stop Winter from doing more damage subtly.

He came to the butterfly girl in the middle while Winter stopped the fire and still continued going to the girl.

I still continued walking to the girl and when I'm near enough I looked her dead in the eyes. "Don't call me Rose again do you understand?" she nodded at me and the teacher already reached us.

I'm glad this little butterfly knew her lesson. You can't just call someone whatever you like. It's dangerous, look what happened to her.

In no time, the girl's wings came back as soon as the teacher held her back. She looked at me grateful while the teacher looked at me in surprise.

"H-how-"

"It's a good thing you know how to return her wings sir"

"But-"

"Hmm? What is it?" I asked him as he shut up seeing my expression.

"Yeah, I know how to put it back"

"Good" I commented as I found a seat next to the smiling Sapphire. She's really hyper, she looks like she's not hanged in the ceiling just a minute ago.

All of my classmates are talking about my fight and I can't see myself to care about it. However I caught myself staring back at six pairs of eyes that's staring at me first.

I tilted my head a bit and they looked away.
