“Yeah, I did,” Kieran said, nodding slowly.
“And no one could take that moment away from you. You own it. It belongs to you.”
“Yeah, well, after that day, everything became plain common sense. That’s when I knew my dad was just another dead-beat father. And I was a funny kid who liked to touch boys.”
“You knew you were gay at that young age?”
“Liam, I was queer in my mom’s belly,” Kieran said with a small laugh. “When did you know?”
Liam smiled. “I guess I really knew…the first time we kissed.”
