Uzushiogakure: The Fall (P.3)

(Back in Konoha)

Hiruzen was reviewing messages provided by four envoys. The other four countries sent messages vilifying Uzushiokagure and demanding that Konohagakure not get involved if they do not want to spark the second Great War as they varied out justice. Particularly their was a request to not allow the nine tails Jinchuriki to make a move or all other Jinchuriki would be deployed in retaliation. Meanwhile Hiruzen was also receiving an emergency communication from Uzushiokagure that they needed aid.

At this time where Hiruzen was hesitant with how to proceed, he decided to rely on his personal council. Soon Homura Mitokado, Danzo Shimura, Koharu Utatane all gathered in his office.

" Forget about the peace Hiruzen. If they all allied together it's only to attack us next. With the Uzumaki on our side we would at least have the upper hand as we begin this war."

" Listen to Homura. The time for peace has come to an end. They will take our inaction for weakness! If we don't move now we will have already lost an ally before the war begins in full."

" I disagree with them. You should maintain the peace for now."

" WHAT!?" All in the room could only think [ Is this really Danzo?]

" Don't look at me like that. I don't like it but the peace benefits our village at the moment. Simply put we are not ready for war.

All our major battle forces are currently outside of the village. Unless you plan to leave Konoha undefended to provide aid, we simply cannot help at the moment.

Additionally Lady Mito will transfer over the Nine tails to her successor very soon. She cannot do battle at the moment with those preparations under way. Even if the successor takes upon the Nine tails immediately, we cannot count on a successor that will not be battle ready to act. Our biggest deterrent against the other countries will soon be ineffective.

If that wasn't enough should we decide to disregard everything and mobilize our troops, we would be facing the allied army of four countries.

We cannot afford to allow ourselves to be besieged on all sides. As long as the alliance holds we would be the first eliminated in this war.

Our best move is to have the Uzumaki flee and come reside in Konoha. I'm sure the new Senju son in law can handle this."

" What could that boy toy possibly do in this situation?"

" It doesn't matter. Ren is currently outside the village on a personal mission for Lady Mito."

" Hiruzen you FOOL!"

" What are you talking about Danzo?"

" Should I tell them or will you?"

" Ahhh… very well. Senju Ren has mastered the flying thunder god technique."

" WHAT!?"

" Yes and the fool allowed such a great asset outside of the village on a personal mission."

" Let it go Danzo, it was Lady Mito's request. It's not like I could deny her sending out her own son in law."

" Of course you can Hiruzen! Are you the Hokage or is she!?"

"…."

" Why were we not informed such a great war asset is in our midst?"

" Why do you think I allowed for him to be known as Tsunades boy toy. His ability is not known by many.

No matter his situation this is not the time for this talk."

An Anbu appears before the crowd.

" Lord Hokage, Esteemed council. (Bows) Uzushiokagure has been reduced to half their original forces….So has the enemy army."

" I'm sorry I believe we misheard you?"

The Anbu repeats himself.

" We must make a move immediately! Clearly the Uzumaki war potential is far above what we thought."

" I agree."

" Homura, Koharu. Have you considered this is not a good thing? They just showed a war potential that allowed them to compete with four countries at once…. They are doomed. The Uzumaki will be hunted down even if they do flee to us, and will likely take us with them. Forget what I said. Ignore this situation, strengthen our border, and nothing else."

" This…"

" Danzo is right... We'll mobilize Root and make a defensive border to take the refugees we can covertly. We will no longer make a move though, eliminate all evidence we were aware of this event."

" Everyone stop looking so glum. Uzushiokagure will fall but they will be avenged soon enough."

( In the Senju compound)

Tsunade had never faced certain realities when it came to being a ninja. By the time she became one the First ninja war had ended, so she overall lived in a time of peace.

At this moment she believed no matter what her Grandma said, Konoha would step in. The longer no one came to the compound though the more she was losing faith.

" Grandmother why has Konoha not gone to aid Uzushiokagure?"

" Your Grandfathers vision for the village has been corrupted Tsunade. You will see this truth soon enough."

" Why don't we go directly to inform Sensei, he will surely do something!"

" Tsunade do you truly believe he has not received word of what's occurring yet?"

" I… Sensei would not allow our family to be harmed like this. He treasures my grandfather and grand uncle."

" Hiruzen may truly treasure our family but his belief in the Will of Fire is excessive. His sentiment will never trump the immediate safety of the village."

"…Why did you have Ren go back?"

( Uzushiokagure)

On a tree located on the outskirts of Uzushiokagure stood a man wearing a Hannya mask. With gourd in hand he was staring gob smacked at the battlefield that was truly going in unexpected ways. Clearly the man was Ren.

What the actual hell is going on here?

I had expectations of the clones but I didn't think they'd last this long. The memories I implanted would make the clones bravely go to meet their death, taking down as many enemies as possible. That was the idea. Who would've thought that they would cause this much damage to the allied army.

From 20,000 strong the allied forces had been reduced to a mere 8,000. The clones on the other hand, of the initial 1,500 stood a little less then 500.

Through a methodical use of the Fuinjutsu defenses they had systematically decimated the attackers. Kenzoramas clone in particular seemed to be growing throughout the battle. When the allied forces eventually were able to properly retaliate after following Kiri's lead. They seemed to have given the clone some sort of awakening. It had developed tactics he had never implanted in its memory. Its use of the recently implanted Byakugan in particular was incredible.

While I was impressed, I was also disturbed. Even the real Kenzorama hadn't developed his Byakugan. It was only natural the clones I made would develop, they were human after all. What I'd never considered is they could develop so quickly if left to their own devices. Maybe I should double check on mothers clone. Anyways, using my own Byakugan I could see that its scouting measures were impeccable.

Any action taken by the allied army would be counterattacked before it was even completed. Its ability for prediction and range of sight were on par with someone who held the Byakugan much longer.

The Mira and Nawaki clones were not any slouches either. They were covered in wounds, with Nawakis clone even missing an arm, yet they were still eliminating their enemies with increasing efficiency.

Should I just wipe out everyone here and dissect these things?

Grandma Mito ordered me to ensure Uzushiokagure was invaded and destroyed. Even help if I have to. After which I had to ensure the Senju family corpses only went to Konoha if they still existed…. but science!
