-Entrance Gate – 1 Hour Later-
It was almost time for the carriages to go to the Hogsmeade Village, and I was standing in front of the entrance gate waiting for Fleur, Gabi and Luna to appear.
And I didn't have to wait much longer before I felt one of the blonde girls approaching, and looking back I saw Fleur coming towards me.
She was wearing light blue jeans, black boots, a black turtleneck sweater, and a beige coat, and it might have looked like a simple outfit, but on Fleur it made her look beautiful and mature.
And while I looked at the beautiful Veela she finally reached me, stopping in front of me.
"Sorry it took so long" Fleur said, smiling at me as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Don't worry, I haven't been here long" I reassured her.
"That's a relief," she said.
Fleur then kept looking at me with her hands behind her back, and it looked like she was waiting for something from her expectant looks.
And seeing this I smiled wryly, knowing what she was expecting, "You look very pretty Fleur" I said.
"Thank you" she thanked, happy with the compliment. She then looked me up and down with an appreciative look, "And you look pretty too."
"Well, I'm glad my appearance is to your liking," I joked, and Fleur snorted in amusement.
I then looked behind her, finally noticing the smaller Veela's absence, which made me look at Fleur questioningly, "So, where's Gabi?" I asked.
"Oh, well, she couldn't come." Fleur replied, making me blink.
"Really? Why?"
"Because apparently she needs my parents' permission to go to Hogsmeade, and the permission will take a few days to arrive as it takes a long time for an owl to come from France to Great Britain" she explained, but I felt like it wasn't the truth, or at least not the complete truth.
But even though I knew she was hiding something I didn't insist, "I understand" I said, "In that case then let's just be the three of us on this trip"
"Yes, just the three of us," Fleur nodded happily, before stopping, blinking in confusion, "Wait… The three of us?" she questioned.
And I didn't need to answer her question, because it was at this exact moment that Luna decided to appear, coming towards us.
"Hello again Ethan" she said happily as she stopped next to us.
"Hi Luna... Again" I said amused.
I then looked closely at her, seeing that she was wearing a pink dress that reached above her knees with a light blue jacket over it, black leggings and boots, and a gray beanie, "These clothes look great on you."
"Thank you" she said with a small smile.
Luna then looked at me too, discreetly admiring my appearance, until she noticed something on my wrist that made her blink, "You're wearing the bracelet!" she said surprised and happy.
"Of course I'm wearing it, it was my precious friend who made it especially for me" I said, running my hand over the bracelet the peculiar girl had made for me with an affectionate smile.
And my answer made her even happier.
And it was at that moment that our conversation was interrupted by Fleur, who looked at Luna with a strange expression, "Is she... Is she going with us?" she asked.
"Huh? Oh yeah! I invited her to come with us, since she could also help me show you and Gabi around the village," I replied, before looking happily at Fleur, "And besides, more people would make the trip even better and more fun, right?"
"Yes... Definitely" Fleur nodded with a forced smile.
'Damn, the plan was working, why did she have to appear?' she mentally cursed, not letting her disappointment and frustration show on her face.
The invitation and this whole story of wanting to visit Hogsmeade was something completely planned by Fleur, and actually her true intention was to transform this trip through the village into a date.
Fleur knew from the beginning that her sister wouldn't be able to go to Hogsmeade, so from the moment she invited me she had every intention of it being just the two of us on this trip.
And the only reason she said Gabrielle was going too was to try to convince me, and because she was a little nervous about asking me out on a date directly.
But unfortunately for the Veela, she hadn't anticipated that I would consider this visit to Hogsmeade as just a casual trip between friends, and that I would then invite someone else, who would end up being her romantic rival.
And Luna seemed to sense Fleur's disappointment, and she looked at her warily, "Hmm, where's your sister?" she asked the French woman.
"Oh, she won't be able to go to Hogsmeade." Fleur replied as she looked away.
"I see" Luna nodded, narrowing her eyes in suspicion, 'For some reason she reminds me of a treacherous canary... And that means she's dangerous' the dreamy girl thought.
"Well" I started to say, catching the attention of the two girls, "The carriages are about to leave, so I think we better find an empty carriage to sit in"
And hearing this, Fleur and Luna looked around, seeing that all the students were already boarding the carriages.
"I agree" Fleur said, with Luna nodding her head.
After that, the three of us then looked for an empty carriage and got into it, and once inside the carriage I occupied the middle seat, with each girl occupying a seat on my side.
And it didn't take long for the carriages to start moving, heading towards the village of Hogsmeade.
And during the whole trip to the village I was just thinking about which places and shops we should visit to make the trip more exciting.
And that's why I didn't notice how the two blonde girls seemed to be trying to get closer to me, while they kept stealing glances at each other, full of rivalry and competitiveness.
'Heh, I feel like this is going to be a very exciting and interesting trip' I thought, already feeling excited about the afternoon of fun that was to come.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Hogsmeade-
'Apparently I was being too hopeful' I sighed.
We had been in Hogsmeade for some time, and from the moment we stepped into the village I could feel an aura of conflict arise between Luna and Fleur.
And I initially thought I was just imagining things, but I should have known that my senses wouldn't deceive me.
The two were always disagreeing about everything, from what we should do, which shop we should visit, and what we should eat.
And if that wasn't enough, the two of them were always involving me in their disputes, and I almost felt like they were trying to see who could get more of my attention.
And if my body wasn't strong and resilient thanks to my abilities, I was sure I would have been ripped in half with the two of them pulling on my arms like I was a plush they didn't want to share.
And now looking at the two girls who were again holding my arms as they tried to drag me to different locations I felt a tremendous headache.
'Okay, this can't go on like this' I thought, letting a tired sigh escape my lips.
And I knew that I had to resolve their enmity before it became a bigger problem, and so I freed myself from the firm hands of the two blonde girls and turned to them.
"Listen, enough of this!" I said, making them both blink as they looked at me a little surprised at my outburst.
And seeing that they were now both paying attention to me, I continued.
"Look, I don't know what's going on between you two, but I can sense that you two don't like each other very much" I said, which surprised them, since they thought I hadn't noticed their little intrigue.
"But even if you have some conflict or resentment between the two of you, can you, at least for today, and just for today, try to be a little friendlier to each other?" I asked them, looking at them pleadingly.
And my request made them silent, and looking into my eyes the two girls could see that I was really disappointed and sad that the trip wasn't going as well as I wanted.
And not wanting to see me sad, they both gave in, nodding at me, "Fine" "Oui" they replied a little guilty.
And their response satisfied me, as I could feel that they were being partially sincere, "Great" I said with a happy smile, knowing that this was the most I could ask of them.
And my smile seemed to be contagious, since both girls also unconsciously smiled at me.
"Well then, now that that's all settled, let's have some fun!" I proclaimed, wanting to continue our trip through the village before it was time to go back to school.
And with that I then turned, looking around already looking for the next interesting place in Hogsmeade for us to go.
And because I turned around I missed the moment when Fleur and Luna looked at each other, and they stared at each other for a few seconds before nodding.
''Truce, for Ethan'' was the silent agreement they made.
End.
