Prologue

It was all over. The fourth Great Ninja War had finally ended. But at what cost?

The cost of his team. His friends. Sasuke could do nothing but watch as the bodies of his friends grew colder and colder.

It was all his fault. Why wasn't he happy? Didn't he want them all to die in the first place? So why was there this overwhelming guilt building up inside of him.

Why didn't he feel happy?

A drop of tear fell from his pale face followed by another and another.

He fell to his knees as he sobbed. Mourning the loss of his loved ones.

After everything he had done, they never gave up on him. He took their love for him for granted, being too lost in his schemes of vengeance not realising the pain it would've brought him.

"Just why the hell am I like this? Why do I keep making one horrible decision after another?"

Till now, he had never realised what they were trying to save him from.

The only thing that came to his mind was that he wanted to end his suffering. Once and for all.

The amount of guilt inside him was too much to bare.

He was going to end his own life. The only thing his existence brought was pain and misery.

Slowly he began to take out his kunai and without another thought, he stabbed himself in the heart.

Soon enough, blood began to gush out from his chest.

He did not even feel an ounce of pain.

"I'm sorry...everyone. For everything. Thank You...for always being there for me. If there is a next life. I hope I meet all of you once again. We will be together...until the end" he spoke with a low voice.
