LAB PARTNER

"Now, now! Quiet down students." The chemistry teacher clapped to get the students' attention.

"Since you're first years, you don't know me." She said. "My name is Sugiho Yuko, youre your chemistry teacher."

"She looks so strict!" Someone whispered but Sugiho's sharp ears caught it.

"No talking!" She glared at the culprit. The glare sent shivers down everyone's spines.

"Now that we know each other, let's partner up with each other. Though I will be the one choosing."

'Oh come on!' Everyone thought.

"Naofumi-san with Kirin-san." Sugiho said.

"Ronoki-san with Sarutobi-San,"

"Miyamura-san with Kumo-san,"

The rest of the people were paired up and they started the lesson. While they were mixing chemicals together, Tatsume accidentally added unknown chemicals together and it caused a tiny explosion, affecting only him and kirin.

Kirin started to fine angrily. "My hair! My face! My uniform!!" She screamed. "How dare you? Yo-you're not good at chemistry are you?"

"Quiet down Kirin-san!" The teacher scolded.

"B-but look at me!" She said in a panicked voice.

"Go change into your gym clothes." Sugiho ordered the red haired girl.

"Yes ma'am." She left to get changed.

After she came back the class continued until the bell rang.

"Huh? Gym." Remi mused.

"Y-yeah." Roki said with a small smile.

'His stuttering is so adorable!' Remi thought.

"Ano...Sarutobi-san? A-aren't you going?" Roki asked meekly.

"Ah! Right, right!" Remi answered. She packed her things quickly and left the classroom with Roki.

Remi was walking home after school. Then she decided to go to the convenience store for some popsicles. It was getting hot since summer was approaching.

"So hot!" The brunette fanned herself with her hand as she walked. Then she felt as if someone was staring holes into her back.

"What the...?!" Tatsume was hiding behind a corner behind her.

"Idiot! What are you doing?!" Remi hissed angrily.

"I was just following to see where you live." He said sheepishly.

"Sure." She said sarcastically.

"Don't be like that!" Tatsume whined.

"Whatever. Just don't memorize the way to my house." The brunette warned.

"But I have a good memory!"

"Well get rid of it!"

Another explosion happened again in chemistry class. It affected the whole class too.

"I want to change partners!" Kirin screamed.

"I'm only allowing that because your desk is in front." Th chemistry teacher said. "Ronoki, take his seat, and Naofumi, Ronoki's seat."

"Yes ma'am."

They changed seats and Tatsume trudged to the back and sat down on the stool next to Remi.

"Don't blow a anything up here, got it?" She glared at him.

"Uh, sure."

The bell rang and students scrambled out of the school building. Remi was walking home alone again and Tatsume scared her this time.

"Gah! Naofumi!" She growled.

"You called me by my actual name!" He exclaimed with shining eyes.

"No I...didn't." Remi's eyes widened and she blushed in embarrassment.

"You slipped up Remi."

Both their eyes widened and Remi blushed even more. The air around them became awkward.

"Hahaha! You slipped up even more than I did!" Remi exclaimed to avoid the awkwardness.

"Sh-shut up." Tatsume blushed.

This made Remi laugh louder. Tatsume smiled too and they continued to walk home.

"Hey. Do you want a popsicle?" The blackette asked the giggling girl.

"Sure. As long as it's on you!"

"Hey! That's not fair."
