Garo

"Sir, I came to visit Grand Duke Hearfield and seek his guidance regarding something" Leroy said politely to a guard of the mansion.

"Lord Sensations, his highness originaly wanted to meet with you too, but was delayed by a recent visit. I'll pass the message to him" The guard said and left toward the mansion.

After ten minutes, he came back.

"His highness invites you over, Lord Sensations." The guard bowed slightly "If you can follow me please"

"Of course" Leroy replied and followed him into the masion.

"His highness, Lord Sensations has arrived".

"Good, you can return to your duty now" an old man's voice replied.

Grand Duke Heartfield opened his office room's and looked over at Leroy.

"Please, Count Sensations, come inside" He said while standing at the side.

"Thank you for receiving me, your highness" Leroy said with a bow and walked in.

As he entered, he spoted another figure inside the room.

"This is Grand Marshal Cerret" Heartfield introduced him.

"Count Sensations pays his respects" Leroy bowed slightly, Grand Duke Heartfield and Grand Marshal Adolf Cerret had equal positions, and only the King had a higher status than these two.

"Good, Count Sensations it's good to meet you, Heartfield has told me a few things about you" The old Marshal said with a smile.

"We actually were about to send someone to look for you, I wonder what brings you here" Hearfield said while taking a seat

"Your highness, I've become a Count for a while but still can't find any appropiate Personal Guards, I've come in hopes that you may help me" Leroy said and bowed slightly.

"Oh so it is this, hehe it is indeed not easy to find talented Personal Guards. I'll tell you what, you help us and I'll introduce you to some people."

Hearfield said with an understanding expression. Cerret also showed a similar expression.

"It'll be my honour to help your highness, what can I do for you?" Leroy replied politely.

"Good, actually, we have acquired Unknown Treasure Chests over the last ten years, but haven't opened them because it would be a waste. But now I've met a person blessed by luck like yourself. If you can open these chests for us and we manage to obtain some good items, your will be rewarded correspondingly. So, do you accept?" Hearfield explained with a gleam on his eyes.

"I'll do my best, your Highness" Leroy replied.

"Steward, bring those treasure chests over" Hearfield traveled to the steward who stood outside the door.

Some time later, Leroy had ten treasure chests in front of him that gave off an old aura.

"We'll be relying on Count Sensations then" Cerret said with a hopefull expression.

Leroy used his three attached luck skills and Luck Attribute jumped over 350 points.

'Open'

It took one minute to open the first treasure chest, inmediatly a bright orange aura covered the room 'Divine Might' Leroy spoke on his mind.

The item inside was a Greatsword with exquisite patterns to it from blade to handle.

"A fragmented Legendary weapon, not bad" Cerret nodded at this with an expression of approval.

'Open'

After another minute, this time a blue aura spread through the room, while once again releasing a trace of Divine Might.

"A fragmented Legendary Ring, this is good stuff"

'Open'

"Now a Shield, this is impressive" Both Cerret and Heartfield had pleased faces that turned into shock as he opened the seventh chest, they didn't expect Leroy's luck to be so good at all.

Once again, Leroy passed the item over to them and started opening the next chest.

As he opened the chest, a huge aura released through the entire mansion and even parts of it leaked from the magic array on the territory.

"This....." Heartfield and Cerret jaws almost hit the ground and did their best to keep their calm. Leroy also tried but because the aura put heavy preassure on his body.

"Legendary... This is the sword of King Pantelor!, how can that be?" Cerret's body shook while looking at the item

"King Pantelor, a Star-Moon Kingdom's King from the previous generation... his most favourite sword is actually on a treasure chest" Heartfield was also visibly shaken.

Leroy did his best to open the remaining treasure chest without losing time.

Both old man looked at him with gleaming expressions.

An aura of divine might was released to the room that was even purer than the last one, yet it wasn't so overbearing at the same time.

Checking the item inside, both old man left a cold breath.

"A Tier 5 Large Destruction Scroll, this item... the King will certainly be more than satisfied now" Heartfield had an elated expression while Cerret's gaze returned to the Greatsword.

After a while they collected the items and the atmosphere regained it's calm.

"Your contributions to the Kingdom has exceeded our imagination this time. Tell us, what do you want as a reward?" Cerret was the one to speak.

"I don't dare to ask for too much, I would like to have a Guild Promotion Order, a Shop Promotion Order, the Commercial Lands near the Bank and Virtual Trading Center, and if possible, I could really use an alchemy book and better alchemy equipment." Leroy said while lowering his head humbly.

"Hehe you can really ask eh?" Cerret laughed while Heartfield's mouth twitched. Actually his contributions this time would be enough to reward him such a thing, just that this wasn't little, the guild and shop promotions wasn't hard to deal with, even the commercial lands were easy to settle, but the alchemy book...

"Alchemist books are treasured items everywhere, I'm sure his majesty would reward you with something like these, but don't hope for a much complete book, Star-Moon Kingdom isn't like those far away places with rich history of alchemy" Hearfield replied.

"I understand, I'll be satisfied with anything that can open my horizons" Leroy replied.

With a pleased smile, Hearfield asked him to wait as he sent the steward to the royal palace to inform.

His favorability points with both of them rose significantly after completing their request, Heartfield even invited him to join in dinner.

After they finished their dinner, the steward came.

"Grand Duke, his majesty has sent all the rewards personaly... also... there is people that came to meet Count Leroy" the steward reported quickly.

"That is great haha" Hearfield laughed happily, he wouldn't have to expend a single penny if the king took the matter on his hands.

"Bring the items and our guests over then" Heartfield said in a hurry.

A while later, a group of people came over, some were guards carrying items with them.

"These are rewards from the king to Count Sensations" Someone put the items in front of Leroy "If you don't mind" The group from the imperial palace left as quickly as they arrived.

There were still three people waiting there.

"I'm Garo, someone from the imperial palace told me Count Sensations was looking for manpower, I've heard many things about you. There aren't many thing I can do other than fighting" Garo was a mountain of a man, more like a barbarian than a human.

"It won't be a problem. You definetly won't lack powerful equipment and oponnents to fight against should you follow me, however, what about we test each other in combat first?" Leroy said, his suggestion lit the eyes of the people present here.

They knew Garo as someone only interested in strength, he would refuse to follow even Dukes as they couldn't promise that. There were many nobles that wanted him as a guard too, this half-human half-barbarian young man was an extremely talented person.

"I was just thinking the same thing" Garo said laughing, of course he wouldn't follow someone weaker than himself, specially another young man like Count Leroy.

Outside the mansion.

Grand Duke Heartfield and Grand Marshal Cerret stood next to two people, looking at another two on the guard's training grounds.

"You can begin when you wish" Leroy said.

"You won't take out your weapon?" Garo was a bit confused.

"If I defeat you without one, you will be more convinced to follow me" Leroy said with amusement.

Hearing his, Garo felt angry and happy at the same time. He was right about what he said, if he was strong enough to defeat him without a weapon despite being a mage, it would truly prove his combat ability. On the oher hand, the way he said that made him feel upset.

Garo used a skill right of the bat and charged over at Leroy with high speed.

'He is this fast' Leroy didn't expect this huge mountain of muscles to be so fast.

Garo held his greatsword tightly and a strong reddish aura spread from it. He jumped and slashed down on Leroy.

'Shield of Heity'

Leroy moved his hand and Garo's sword clashed against a barrier.

He looked at Garo's eyes that gleamed cheerfully. 'He really is just a battle maniac' Leroy revealed a smile, he liked this type of person.

With a wave of his hand, Leroy manipulated the skill and sent Garo ten meters back as he left deep marks of his feet in the ground.

Garo was slightly shocked at the Count defenses.

'Dark Arrow'

A dark arrow was sent toward Garo at high speeds. Garo used his sword to split the arrow but was still forced to take a step back.

'How can he be so strong?' Garo was shocked at seeing someone of his generation being so powerful, he didn't know anyone like him on this kingdom.

Garo once again charged, but was surprised that the Count also charged at him. Garo tried to subconsciously calculate his oponnent speed as to deal the most perfect blow to him, but his oponnent moved on a way that he couldn't tell if it was fast or slow. Without a choice he choped down with his sword but only hit the air.

Leroy stood at three meters from Garo, aiming a finger at him. 'Dark Arrow'.

Pang! The dark arrow impacted fully on Garo's chest but didn't manage to pierce through. This spoke volumes of the young man defenses. Garo was sent four meters back from his position.

'Strong, how can someone be so strong at his age' Garo looked over at Leroy with admiration and his eyes seemed to laugh with joy.

Suddenly, different auras appeared on Garo as his figure grow taller and stronger.

"Finally showing what you have?" Leroy smiled and Garo charged three times as fast as before.

In the blink of an eye he appeared in front of Leroy once again and prepared to attack once again, but didn't found his target.

"You aren't bad, just needs some training" A voice spoke behind him, turning his gaze he found the Count standing four meters from him.

"Impossible" Garo spoke in disbelief, did a person who focused on magic move so fast that he couldn't see it?. The Grand Duke and Grand Marshal had praise all over their faces, they could see through his movement, he just tricked Garo's brain to delete his existance for a moment.

It was just a technique similar to the one used by Ye Feng on White Fog Canyon, only more refined.

"Impossible, huh?" 'Dark Arrow' Leroy shot another arrow toward the barbarian but this time he cut it easily without retreating and inmediatly charged again.

Leroy started retreating while not losing sight of his enemy and attacking from time to time. When Garo got close enough, he used Void Steps and disappeared from his sight.

"You are indeed very strong, but if you only have strength and no combat techniques, you won't be able to display all your power" Leroy said while looking at the tall young man before him. "It is time to end this test"
