C29 - Chimera Ant

With a smile on his face, Shane sent out another slash attack, but this time he had used as little Mana as possible in the attack, instead of blocking the attack like before the Chimera ant dodged it by side-stepping 'It didn't block it this time around' shane thought and once again before the Ant could attack him, he sent another vertical slash towards the Ant using the most Mana he could control.

The Chimera ant's body divided into two as Shane's invisible attack had gone through the ant's body faster than it could react, "Damn that was crazy" Shane exclaimed in excitement, he had used half of his Mana in the attack but he had not expected it to go through the ant easily.

"I thought I was going to level up' what's the meaning of this" Shane questioned, although he wasn't that much into nerdy kinds of stuff in his past life Shane still understood the level-up concept and he had thought when his experience point caps he was going to level up, but for some weird reason he didn't, only getting 2 stats points.

[The way this world system works is to reward stats points to individuals whenever they cap their set experiences mark]

"Hummm, I don't understand, what will I do with the stats point" He asked

[Using the stats point you can increase your stats, as a mage your Intelligence point is linked to the amount of Mana you can have and how well you can learn new spells] the system replied.

"Ohh, so how do I level up then when experience point is not used for level up"

[Increasing your stats to their threshold would make any individual level up, you can either focus on all your stats or just the main ones, in your case, you could either focus on increasing only your Intelligence or all your stats]

"Well that sounds a little bit complicated," Shane said pushing everything to the back of his mind for now, as more ants kept pushing into the Town and the guards were having a hard time dealing with them, especially the Chimera Ants that not only had the body of other animals but they were incredibly powerful.

Somewhere in Lazano Town, in a room with several men clad in heavy armor, they stood around a long table with their weapons placed on the table "Damn it, why did this have to happen when the lord and his family are not around " one of the men complained

"I understand your frustration, those bloody commoners that called themselves Adventurers were supposed to Clear every dungeon around the Town, how could they allow a fucking dungeon break," The man with the heaviest of Aura in the room said, at the sound of his anger voice the room because quite.

Shelby Luken the head of the Town's guard who had dedicated his life serving the Lord of the Town, the Reid Family, as one of the 3rd-Circle warriors in the Town, he was the most frustrated about the dungeon break, as most of the Town's guard were Mortals, they had some 1st and 2nd-Circle warriors but their numbers did not much compare to the Mortals.

"Guard commander, there have been reports of strange Creatures on the battlefield, more deadly than the common Ants," one of the guards said with panic written on his face.

"And?" Shelby asked

"We had one of the adventurers with an inspection skill and he said they were called Chimera Ants and from their energy reading it appears that the Ants are Bishop rank," the guard said.

The face of every Guard inside the room changed as they understood the gravity of this information, The Ant Nest Dungeon was a Low-level dungeon that housed low-rank ant creatures in the Pawn rank and it had been the playground for new adventurers for years, and now a new set of Ant that had somehow reached the Bishop rank was outrageous to say the least.

"They evolved, but how, there was no indication of a Mana fluctuation within the dungeon right?" Shelby asked

"No my lord the adventurers guild hadn't reported anything like that to us"

"Get out all of you," Shelby said slamming his fist on the wooden table, a vain budge in his forehead, at this point his anger was visible to all as he emit a strong aura, making the few guards outside the room drenched in a cold sweat, 'Those foolish commoners they only had one job and they fucking failed at it'

How was he going to report back to his lord that he had failed the one job he was given a job he had sworn to fulfill with his life as a Knight, as the head of the Town's guard watching the people of his town get killed was as bad as killing them himself, he had to push back the Chimera Ants at all cost as they were the strongest Ant on the battlefield.

He left the room and ran towards the East part of the Town where the Main ant army was, along his way he saw dead bodies of ants and elves, every ant he saw that in his way was brutally killed by him, he saw adventurers fighting alongside some guards against on of the Chimera Ants but he didn't stop to help them as he believed they would kill the Ant in no time, he had only one goal in mind, To eliminate the lead of the Ant army first before crushing every Ant inside the Town.

And not long after he got to the Eastern part of the Town his eyes almost jumped out of the socket at what he saw, most of the houses were destroyed, dead elves and guards everywhere, and some of the worker ants were carrying some of the dead elves bodies back to their Nest for some reason and standing in the middle of the Army was a 6 feet tall creature with the lower part of an Ant and the upper part of an hyena.

The Aura coming from the Ant was that of a Bishop rank, "So you are the one responsible for all this destruction, you will pay for this" Shelby declared removing his sword from its sheath and the imposing 3rd-Circle Aura followed, the other Ants and elves fighting nearby moved further away but the Chimera Ant still ordered 100 of his lesser brethren to attack the newcomer.

"Trash," Shelby said, and with only a clean swipe of his blade the 100 ants crumbled into dust "Am not here for foot soldiers, come at me Ant" he dashed towards the Chimera Ant in the middle of the Ant army without a care for the other ants surrounding it.
