when Viktoriya met Mitsuri

Viktoriya was the oldest female of the three that were in their final selection group. She knew this, she also knew it was wrong to be coupling anyone together, and dangerous considering one of the people she coupled together was Tanya Kocho, that being with Mary Sue. 

It was no shocker, it was not long before everyone else besides Tanya herself knew. Though as time went on she felt, horrible for Mary. she was ninety-nine percent sure that the blonde girl was into the Kyujuro Rengoku. For a while, given how quickly she took command of the people around her and the more generally female-like wardrobe Tanya preferred she thought the girl was gay for sure. But then again both she and Mary were for sure fit more into the lesbian crowd, and both of them preferred feminine clothes. Had it not been for Erya, who only wore a Kimono for her work, she probably would not know any gay women who dressed in more male-oriented clothes. 

"Hey what are you doing?" Erya said as she walked up to Viktoriya, who was in her family's shop as usual after a mission. The long brown-haired woman sighed "just thinking about stuff." the other woman giggled and put her arm around Viktoriya, which made the girl blush a little. "Stuff huh? Want to tell me?" Erya grinned cheekily as Viktoriya puffed out her cheeks "you will just make fun of me again." Erya shook her head "the correct word is 'tease', I only mock playfully." 

Before the two could continue a ringing was heard as the bell by the door was struck when it opened. "Hello~!" a perky pink-haired woman then waltzed in, another purple-haired woman walking in behind her. Viktoriya recognized them as Misturi Konroji and Shinobu Kocho. She had very little interaction with the former but was basically staying with the latter. Erya lifted her arm off her and waved "hey, what can I do for you?" Shinobu walked up "hello Muller, are your parents home? I need more sewing supplies." Erya shook her head "Nah, they had to travel to another village for a few days, I can help you through." 

While Shinobu was still smiling she gave a stand-offish stance. Viktoriya knew why, Erya's parents always had the special supplies the head of the butterfly mansion needed for fixing the uniforms of demon slayers, and she did not want to risk revealing the reason why to their daughter. Viktoriya had only told Tanya that Erya knew just like her parents did, so she tugged on her Kimono. "Er- um, Muller, why don't you see if maybe your parents left an order for miss Kocho in the back." Erya grinned and nodded "right, sure, come back with me. If it's not back there then you can tell me what you need and I'll find it." Shinobu nodded in return, saying to Mitsuri she would be right back. 

After the two went to the back of the store, Viktoriya and Mitsuri were left alone in the main front. 'I should probably explain to Shinobu as well, could avoid future prob-' Viktoriya's thoughts were suddenly cut off by the other demon slayer in the room saying in her ear "Hello! You're one of Tanya's friends right?" she jumped back a little and saw the flushed but happy cheeks of Mitsuri, the girl staring at her with a wide smile. "Y-yeah, Viktoriya Urokodaki. I've seen you around, sorry for not talking to you much." then another girl held out her hand "oh it's sweet of you to be concerned, but it's alright. I am Mitsuri Konroji. I learned under Kyujuro, so that's how I know Tanya." 

Viktoriya smiled in a stilted way "is that so? Well, it's nice to formally meet you. If you don't mind me asking why did you come here with Kocho?" Mitsuri backed away and tilted her head "oh, we are going to get some lunch after this, there is this great place in this town that has amazing beef bowls!" Viktoriya was about to respond, but then Mitsuri held her now blushing cheeks. "Oh it's not a date in case you were wondering. As beautiful and amazing as Shinobu is, she is my best friend, and I don't want to ruin our friendship. But, then again, she is so amazing, and forbidden love is always so romantic! Kinda like you and the Muller girl!" now Viktoriya was blushing but not for the same reasons the other woman was. 

Viktoriya had not gotten one word in, "u-um, I don't think-" she was quickly cut off again "but Oba- I mean Iguro is so good to me. But he has not asked me out yet, and my beautiful heart can't take the anticipation, I'm not like Tanya, I don't need three years to decide if I want to go on a date or not!" after Mitsuri complained, Viktoriya blinked. "Wait…you're talking about that thing that Rengoku did. Asking out Tanya to a festival that is a ways off?" Mitsuri nodded "yeah! I thought it was weird as well, but he insisted that it would be best that way. He probably knows Tanya so well, it's romantic but still strange in a way." 

It was then that Viktoriya realized something. "Hey, Konroji, you want to hear more about Rengoku and Tanya's situation. It's actually a love triangle." what could best describe what happened next was a squeal that made a few nearby dogs bark. "Really?! Who, who?" Viktoriya would then explain the triangle, with Rengoku, Tanya, and Mary. by the end Mitsuri seemed both excited and perplexed "oh, love triangles can be so romantic. But I believe it is a situation in which one person only is one-sided. This Mary girl seems precious, but I doubt, even if Tanya plays for both teams, that she feels an attraction for Mary." 

Viktoriya's eyes narrowed "oh? Why?" Mitsuri hummed a little before answering "oh don't get me wrong, despite slaying her father I don't doubt that Tanya cares for Mary. but while I've been around her less than you, I have gone on missions with her, often with Rengoku. and I've never once heard her bring up Mary, though given what you have told me, she did mention Mary just never by name." Viktoriya crossed her arms "doesn't mean anything. The only thing is that Rengoku simply has an advantage on Mary since he actually asked Tanya out…I mean in a weird way yes, but still." 

Mitsuri giggled "Are you implying that Mary would have a chance if she did?" Viktoriya gave a confident nod "indeed. I do." the shop went quiet, and the two stared at each other. "Viktoriya right? As someone who made Love breathing, I think you are wrong. Though I admit I am biased towards Kyujuro. But I suppose we will see who is right." she stood forward and held her hand out to Viktoriya "you are right that my boy has the advantage. But if you are so confident that Mary has a chance. Let's say, that if Tanya at any point dates Mary like I believe Tanya will date Kyujuro. You win. But, if Tanya only ends up with Kyujuro. I win." 

Viktoriya locks on to the other woman's words. 'She specifically said at any point, meaning even if Tanya does date Kyujuro, she could still date Mary. whether before or after, or even during.' she took Mitsuri's hand. "You've got a deal." as they shook Viktoriya thought to herself 'and now, I finally have someone else I can talk to about other people's relationships' while Mitsuri thought similar things. 'Ahhh, I never get to talk to Shinobu about things like this. Whenever I do she berates me or teases me. This is great. A start of a new wonderful friendship for sure!' 

Right after they were done shaking hands Shinobu and Erya came back to the front of the shop. "Sorry for taking long, did you two get along well?" Shinobu asked, placing the bag of cloths over her shoulder. Mitsuri nodded "yep! Come on, I'm hungry Shinobu, I only had two breakfasts!" the insect Hashira nodded. "Thank you again. See you next time." the two women left. 

Erya laid her head on the counter "that Kocho woman is tiring, even more so than Tanya. So, what did you two talk about anyways?" Viktoriya just smiled "oh just girl talk." and she hoped to continue this 'girl talk' next time they meet. Maybe to talk about some juicy stuff Mitsuri knows.
