Chapter 109: RWBY/Justice League (10)

~Third POV~

Now nearing the end of the night in the harbor of Vale Blake, Yang, and Clark is at the place looking for the kidnappers with Blake being the first to speak, "Hmm, maybe we can use these nets on the harbor to nab whoever's doing the nabbing."

Yang places her hands on her hip looking around the harbor as she replied to Blake while Clark has his hands in his pockets, "I can see why this area has the highest number of disappearances. If I had to hang out here, I'd disappear as fast as possible personally."

Blake smiles as she closes her eyes at Yang responding to her question playfully, "You'd need a getaway driver Yang."

Yang playfully responds to Blake wondering her question, "Are you volunteering?"

Blake crosses her arms to her chest replying to Yang's question about her hot ride, "You've taken me for a spin on Bumblebee enough times. I've probably got the muscle memory to put my money where my mouth is."

Clark looks at their eyes to each other before pointing out that bees can't do trying to cheer up the mood, "Bees make honey, not money."

Yang places her hand on Clark's shoulder defending her pride and joy about her Bumblebee while making a pun, "They're also almost as good as you at playing wingman. Get it? 'Cause bees have wings. Also, they're like 99% girls."

Clark takes out his hands from his pocket while being close to the edge of the Vale harbor bridge bringing down the news of he won't be of much help, "I won't be doing much flying right now. At night, my powers are very diminished. No yellow sun to give me strength or speed or –"

*SPLASH*

"—POWER OVER THE GRIMM!"

Suddenly enough a Faunus came out of the seawater with some sea horses the size of humans carrying him to the surface assuming to attack the one responsible for the kidnappings.

The attacker is a young Faunus man who has shoulder-length blond hair with a lavender streak that matches his eyes and a goatee. His Faunus trait is shark fins on his elbows and back. He wears an orange top, bronze metal bands on his upper arms and wrists, baggy green pants, and brown boots with gold trim.

Holding his weapon his trident going to charge in against Blake, Clark, and Yang to attack assuming they are the reasons and his hate for humans apparently blinding him, "Humans. Come to kidnap more Faunus out of the sea?! Never!"

Yang quickly raises her gun at the Faunus trying to defend shooting her weapon and defending herself while explaining to him, "What?! No, listen we aren't –!"

Using his semblance <Telepathy> the attacker began to demand his steeds what to do catching the group by the surprise by what he said, "Steeds, don't strike the blonde – she'll turn it right back on you. Better to drown her."

"Reee – EEE!"

"My steed!"

Quickly as the steed almost try to drown Yang the Steed Sea Horse was suddenly floating above genuinely catching the Shark Faunus by surprise Yang backed away but not before they hear a voice Blake and Yang recognized instantly, "Yo Oceanman! How about you tell your steed to not attempt to harm my friend in front of me? Don't test me…"

"Jack!"

Both Yang and Blake called out instantly recognizing the blue hue aura color moving the sea horse while he introduces to them, "Hey Blake and Yang! Glad to see you two are safe. And who are you two anyway?"

Jack eyes Clark sees the 'S' insignia making his eyes widen a bit seeing the Remnant version of Superman before his eyes follow towards the Shark Faunus, 'Ah… so the guy with the trident is Arthur Curry. Makes sense.'

"WHSSSSH!"

"Sea monsters!"

*SPLASH*

"Yang!"

Suddenly catching everyone's attention the sea life began to jump out of the sea and one of the octopuses grabbed onto Yang immediately forcing her into the sea making everyone react to this with star shape tattoos on them.

*Shiii*

Using <Telekinesis> Jack managed to grab the two out of the water grabbing hold of their weapons and beginning to attack with Yang and Clark punching. Blake began to hack and slash them with her weapon while speaking to the Shark Faunus, "Time to show how many ways there are to skin a tuna. I take it they are not with you?!"

*Bang*

*Bang*

*BAM*

*BAM*

Jack used <Telekinesis> to force the fishes out of the water to force them to suffocate without any water next he began to throw them out like trash full force into the far distance before he lost their hold letting fate decided what to do after the fall.

*Shunk*

The Shark Faunus stabbed the octopus forcing them to leave as he replied to Blake's question, "Ordinary sea creatures know better than to attack a Shark Faunus!"

Having enough Blake began to stand on top of some crates getting when the fighting was done with, she began to get his attention, "Listen – HEY! LISTEN!"

The Shark Faunus turns around with a glare at her while Yang motions him to at least listen to them, "Hey, when, uh, even Blake yells, you should maybe listen."

Trying to find some common ground with the Shark Faunus Blake reveals her Faunus traits removing the bow in a serious tone, "I'm a Faunus too!"

The Shark Faunus wasn't impressed by that beginning to let his hate for humans blind him assuming for her to work with humans, "Psh. Some Faunus, kittycat. Working up here, with humans! Humans, who pillage our seas! Humans, who exile us to the fringes of the continents. Don't tell me you're thrilled with the waterfront real estate in Menagerie, Princess."

Jack was already mildly annoyed with the Shark Faunus before his eyes twitched hearing his words, 'Ok… this guy is a racist asshole. But I'll hopefully let this go because he might have some tragic backstory filled with racism.'

Blake merely narrows her eyes at the Shark Faunus as she replies filled with authority in her voice, "I'm not your princess, 'Aquaman'."

At this, the Shark Faunus flexes his own status at everyone making Jack twitch at his remark for flirting with Blake, "Well you could be. I'm the heir to a kingdom after all."

However, interrupting the conversation soon enough Clark finally recognized the person in front of them wanting to ask in a solemn tone, "Your name is Arthur Curry. Do you recognize me from the mines?"

At this Arthur frowns seeing Clark more clearly now recognizing him before he replied in a sad tone in his voice, "… from the Dust mines. You were being held down there on some rotting scallop of a contract."

Clark nods at this going towards the bridge of the harbor feeling the water agreeing as he explains to him, "You couldn't get me out. I was too weak without the sun to help my Semblance. You had to leave me behind."

Arthur soon pets his Sea Horse steed feeling regret in his voice despite his hate towards humans he even realizes what they did to treat Clark like a slave was wrong, "You weren't a Faunus, but… what they did to you, using like a machine harvest their dammed Dust… it wasn't right."

Holding the other Sea Horse steed in by the under mouth jaw of it Clark began to reply to what is happening to get his attention, "Neither is what brings us down here to the harbor tonight. Huntsmen, students, civilians – anyone with a powerful Semblance – is in danger. People are going missing, Arthur."

Arthur nods at this reading their heads but Jack gives him a cautious look before he sighs in reluctance bringing them along his rider carriage with his steeds as Arthur spoke, "They're going missing from our village far out at sea, too. I'd wager even more than you've had disappear on land."

Jack voices his concern making Arthur calm down seeing his words carrying sadness when Jack spoke fondly of his team, "Yeah… they even managed to take my team. My friends. I promise to find them no matter what and make sure whoever took them will pay."

Arthur nods at this in understanding trying to use <Telepathy> on him but only receives nothing not perceiving his emotions but that was before Jack replies to him surprising him, "Also Arthur my dude the names Jack Nights and the same Clark. And you can't please stop reading me using <Telepathy> because I have mind protection Semblance or I'm a clone."

"What!"

Everyone was surprised by Jack's nonchalant choice of words beginning to disappear with a smile on his face reassuring everyone, "No worries. The original is with Ruby will meet again soon. I'll give everyone the heads up since I sent another clone where Weiss is. Hopefully, we meet for reals everyone, and stay safe."

*SHiii*

Arthur and Clark were left mouth agape at this while Yang laughs at this smiling at his antics, "Ha! That's a good one! At least we know his safe and off the kidnapped victim's list. Still great to have him around."

Blake felt the same commenting feeling gratitude for the same person helping them again saving Weiss helping them now, "Yeah… he certainly has a way of helping others in need."

Arthur seeing this and using his <Telepathy> quickly getting the understanding and surprise on his face at Blake speaking surprised, "I see you Blake seem to have great trust in that human. Even going as far as to save another despite the chance of death. You don't see much like him anymore."

Yang stifles a laugh at that while replying to Arthur with Blake nodding in agreement with Yang's words in a fond tone, "Yeah, he seems to have a nasty knack of trouble on him. But a great friend when you get to know him even though he acts like a doofus or dork at times. When things get tough, he won't hesitate to help one in need. Right Blake?"

Blake blushed a bit at that thinking Jack was willing to go after his team despite his worry and his weakness he matches it with his wit in combat at times or being extremely lucky like in the fight against Neptune using water guns on a guy that has a water semblance that is afraid of water ironically.

Also remembering how Jack saved her and Sun while destroying Roman's plans of the Dust Heist while she smiles happily at that, "Yeah… you don't get to see people like him around. People just helping other people."

*SPLASH*

Arriving at their destination Clark urging Arthur to join on their mission, "Come with us, Arthur. We didn't have the chance to help each other."

Arthur thinks this wanting to atone for not helping Clark before he smiled at him with a simple answer, "We do, now."

Giving a real handshake in an attempt to apologize for attacking the group, "Let me start by apologizing for –"

However, taking the chance to pity Arthur for flirting with Blake she crosses her arms being serious before being playful at him, "Flirting with Blake? She's so much better than you. Way out of your league. Get it?"

Arthur was actually trying to apologize for something else than flirting catching off guard, "Uh… I was going to say, 'attempt on trying to drown you,' but –"

Quickly swinging her arm at Blake her grabbing Yang by the waist as they walk away Yang accepts that with a grin on her face, "Oh, that. Apology accepted!"

*Pat*

Patting Arthur's shoulder Clark began to talk to him happily encouraging him to get used to it while asking some questions, "You'll get to enjoy it. And Professor Ozpin is definitely going to want to talk to you… who knows what else is lurking there… far down below in the deep eh Arthur?"

While everyone began to meet up at their meeting point numerous water Faunus in the area began to come out slowly with neon lights shined on them…
