"...I'm gonna skin you alive."

A/N: Good and bad news! The good news is my internet is back up and running. It was down due to a clinical error that was resolved after three days of no internet (That counts Thanksgiving). The bad news is that a good portion of the chapter was corrupted and lost. What I have in this is what six hours of me racking m,y brains could recreate.

The next chapter should be on schedule like normal!

Logan sighed happily as he awoke next to Glynda who was snuggling close to his chest. Their bare skin was only covered by a thin sheet soaked with sweat from their bodies. And a heavy stench filled the air of Logan's Pelican ship that the two were sleeping in. This marked the morning of their second day of their beachside retreat for the couple. Their first day, however, was filled with constant moaning from inside the Pelican after a bloody nose worthy sight of Glynda in an erotic, mico sling bikini.

Slowly, as the minutes ticked by, Glynda woke up to Logan gently stroking her hair. Smiling, Glynda worked her way up to Logan's face and started kissing him. Logan seeing her offer helped himself to start groping Glynda's well-endowed body. Glynda herself couldn't help but return the favor by playing with Logan's 'Little' brother.

By the time the two of them left the Pelican, both were happily appreciating the afterglow in their swimsuits. Logan had opted for a pair of swimming trunks that were a bright scarlet red with black flames running up from the bottom of them. Glynda decided to wear a different one than the one she first wore to tempt Logan. She went with a two-piece bikini that left little to the imagination and made her endowments seem larger. But both were enough to give Logan a bloody nose from looking at her. If the drool coming from Logan's mouth was anything to go by, he was having quite an erotic fantasy about Glynda as he watched her stretch.

Soon, Logan brought himself out of his fantasy and stretched as well before joining Glynda in the sea. Be it simply splashing water at each other, swimming back and forth, or even just floating in the water; the two took their time and enjoyed their day. Though there were the occasional steamy moments between the two. Some almost ending with them being naked in the water. By the time lunch came around for them, Logan took out a barbeque and started grilling for the two of them.

But all happiness must come to an end at one point or another...

As the two were relaxing, Glynda laying on her stomach getting a suntan, and Logan just digging a deep hole for some reason, Glynda's scroll she left in a basket that had her suntan oil in it, started ringing. Not thinking much about it, Glynda reached over and grabbed it before answering. However, not even thirty seconds after answering her scroll, Glynda shot up and shouted for Logan. Logan popped his head out of the hole he was in and asked what was wrong, slightly drooling at the sight of Glynda's naked chest bouncing freely as she gathered her things. All she said was that they were needed at the Port town that they dropped Ozpin and Salem at. The urgency in her voice was more than enough to knock Logan out of his fantasies and climb out of his hole in the ground.

They rushed inside the Pelican as soon as they gathered their things and took off with Glynda doing her best to get dressed as Logan flew. By the time they reached the Port town, they could see a silver dome cover it in its entirety with Ozpin and Salem standing outside its northern gate. It didn't take long for Logan to put two and two together to figure out why Glynda said they needed to get here. Yet he couldn't help but get annoyed that his time with his wife got interrupted. Even if he was just digging a hole while she sunbathed.

Logan: "So, what's the hell is going on?" Logan asked as he and Glynda got off the Pelican.

Salem: "The reason we asked to come with you two, was that the last point for the Summoning circle you found would be around here." Salem answered as magic flowed from her hands as she tried to dispel the barrier.

Ozpin: "With the existence of several small settlements nearby, it was in the possible area that it could be." Ozpin explained further. "However, the fact that this town was the target was pure luck on our part. By the time we felt the barrier being raised, we were checking up on another settlement. When we got here, the barrier had already been raised."

Salem: "I'm surprised neither of you two felt the shift in mana." Salem spoke as she backed off from the barrier. "I can't get threw. Something's blocking me."

Glynda: "That's unnerving." Glynda shuttered. "To block you of all people is scary on numerous levels."

Logan: "Agreed." Logan said as he walked towards the barrier. "I'll see if I can't just overload it-"

As Logan's hand touched the barrier, he slipped right on through with little effort. Glynda, seeing Logan fall through, grabbed his hand in an attempt to pull him back but only managed to get pulled through as well. When the two were fully inside, the barrier glowed brightly for a second before dulling back to its usual color. Inside, Logan turned and tried to move back through but couldn't.

Logan: "Whoever is doing this was expecting us." Logan said what was on everyone's mind.

Ozpin: "It seems so." Ozpin said as he walked close to the barrier. "See what you can do from the inside. We'll try our best out here to bring the barrier down. Logan, I know you keep backup weapons in your void storage. Get them out, sweep the town, and keep on the lookout. I don't need either injured or worse, killed. Even with your abilities Logan, you can be too late." Even with his voice muffled slightly due to the barrier, his voice carried enough for Logan and Glynda to hear him.

Logan/Glynda: ""Understood."" The two said since this was serious business.

Logan started by pulling his m4, his m14, and the Ace of Spades out of his [Inventory] with all the ammo he had for them and holsters for their ammo. After asking Glynda what she preferred, she took the m4 while Logan quickly wore a pistol holster and took the other two guns. Once they were well equipped, Logan took the front and Glynda followed his lead. Since the barrier was up, the two could guess that either the person who did it had a barrier-type semblance or knew magic. And since Salem couldn't break it, the latter was their best assumption. While the two of them could use their magic to fight, they both understood that it was the better option to keep it ready in case something unexpected happened and use conventional firearms for now.

With Logan's ash acting as a movable piece of cover for them, Logan and Glynda slowly moved through the town. Even with Logan's [Presence Detection] constantly feeding him information about the entire town, they could find nothing. Not a soul was anywhere in the town. In an hour, they had swept the entire town and found nothing except for a house with a hidden basement full of child po*n which they burned to the ground right after. As they stood near the town's center, they saw the barrier shake and shatter before fading into glittering light before disappearing completely.

The two of them ended up waiting for Ozpin and Salem in the center of the town after the barrier fell. As Ozpin and Salem approached, Logan felt the mana in the air shift suddenly around him and Glynda. Instincts took over, as Logan shoved Glynda towards Salema while storing his gear at the same time. Then it happened.

P.o.v - Glynda

.

I suddenly felt my husband shove me away as we stood near the center of the town while our bosses walked towards us. As I flew through the air towards Salem, I turned my head and saw his eyes widen in horror. And with a visible wave pulse out then in, I saw him get taken away. Leaving only a severed forearm behind. The feeling of mana shifting was so sudden that I didn't have time to react as it happened. Salem caught me as it happened and I could tell that she and Ozpin were shocked as well.

The feeling of dread I felt as I stare at what was left of my husband. I couldn't take it. Soon, I fainted. When I awoke, I was inside Logan's Pelican that was speeding to Beacon at its top speed. Ozpin was piloting it while Salem was casting magic on Logan's severed forearm. I was buckled in as it was all starting to dawn on me that Logan could still be alive with what had happened. I could just only hope now and do what I could to help Salem. Even if I felt like throwing up what I had for lunch this morning.

Logan: "... I'm gonna skin you alive." Logan growled out, though low and quiet was heard throughout the chamber.
