Chapter 28: Playing with fire

Scarlet glared at Queen as she gritted her teeth, her crimson red eyes glowed. Queen glared at Scarlet as well as she grinned widely, she pointed her sword at Scarlet while laughing.

"Just because you took and fed off of Erza's blood, doesn't mean you stand a chance against me!" Queen barked as she snickered. "But if you think you have what it takes to stop me now... Then by all means, come at me. This is going to be a fight worth remembering."

Scarlet was quiet, her gaze stared into Queen's eyes like daggers. She started to slowly approach Queen before picking up speed, she was now rushing towards Queen as she swung Black Rose at her. Queen blocked the attack with sword and aimed her flintlock at Scarlet as she was getting ready to pull the trigger, Scarlet took notice as she bashed her head against Queen's before smacking the gun out of her hand. Queen's gun slid across the tournament floor before it was out of reach from Queen.

Queen growled as she punched Scarlet in the gut several times, Scarlet would then catch Queen's fist before she could throw another gut punch. She tightened her grip on Queen's fist and then twisted her arm, snapping her arm a loud CRACK and SNAP was heard as Queen's arm went limp.

"Oh what's wrong? Can't fight me now can you?" Scarlet asked mockingly, she grabbed Queen's limp arm and started to pull at it, ripping her arm off. Of course the rules no longer applied since both Zeno's and the Grand priest were protected by a barrier after what Kang did. The three of them were okay, but the rules were no longer of use to this now. "Would ya look at that, I got your arm." Scarlet snickered as she started beating Queen with her own arm.

Queen however was able to get some distance between her and Scarlet after a while, she noticed Ryuko was slowly getting up as she smirked. She dashed over to her and grabbed her with her other arm as she held the blade of her sword up to her neck. "One wrong move and Ryuko here dies."

"The hell?!" Ryuko snapped as she looked back at Queen as she elbowed her in the stomach several times. "Let me go dammit!" She continues to elbow Queen in the stomach trying to make her let go.

Scarlet looked at Queen as she looked over at Ryuko, the Grimm girl smirking widely as she scoffed. "Like I give a crap about her." She slowly started walking towards the two as she dragged Black Rose on the ground. "I don't care what happens to her, as long as I know that you're my target. I could give two shits about Ryuko."

"HEY!" Ryuko barked as her gaze was turned to Scarlet now.

Queen was about to slice Ryuko's throat, but Scarlet used her semblance to stop time as she dashed over and rammed her hand through Ryuko's stomach as she dug her hand deeper and then straight through Queen's stomach. She smirked as she blinked letting time resume around her. "Whoops, looks like I got a little carried away there."

Ryuko coughed and spat up blood as she looked down seeing what Scarlet had done. Queen also coughed up blood as well, she didn't think for a second Scarlet would go to such lengths to try and kill Ryuko while also doing the same to her. Scarlet snickered as she yanked her arm out as it was drenched in blood, dripping down her arm and fingers. Ryuko's vision went blurry for a moment as she looked at Scarlet.

"Screw..... you...." Ryuko mumbled as she collapsed right into Scarlet's arms. Scarlet laid her down as she looked at Queen seeing her stumble with a gaping wound in her stomach.

Erza yelled as she swung her giant mace at Cell Max, slamming it the mace against his leg. Cell Max growled as she swatted at Erza like she was a fly but Erza stopped his fist from colliding with her.

"Sorry, but you'll have to try better than that." Erza said her eyes were filled with a burning flame. She shoved Cell Max's fist back as she swung her mace again, but this time directly at his arm. "It's now or never!"

Gohan nodded as he threw his arm forward with his index and middle fingers pointed out. "Special Beam Cannon!" The spiral beam fired from Gohan's fingers as it went straight for Cell Max's head, which soon went straight through his head.

Erza jumped back as the others around also got some distance away from the area as Cell Max started to swell up and become bigger and bigger before exploding. The explosion shattered and crumbled the tournament floor as the shock-wave knocked Scarlet and Ryuko back. Which also gave Queen a chance to make her escape, she sliced a rift open and jumped through it before it closed behind her.

"Whoa!" Both Zeno's were surprised by what happened and how powerful the explosion was to crumble the tournament arena. "That was so cool!"

"Tch, she got away." Scarlet groaned as she got up while sniffing the air. "It also seems like Kang got away too, for someone who was supposed to help Queen make sure I was dead... didn't do a very good job, not that it matters."

Ryuko groaned as she got up and rubbed her head, the life fibers in her body healed up the wound as she punched Scarlet in the stomach. "Give me a warning next time!"

Erza glanced over as she looked at Scarlet and Ryuko before hearing the Grand Priest speak up, everyone turned their attention towards him with a curious look on their faces.

"It seems that this tournament will have to come to an end, a draw. That interference we experienced consumed what time we had left...." The Grand Priest spoke as he looked at everyone.

Goku was shocked by this news. But even then, it didn't take a genius to figure out that things would've ended like they had. Vegeta scoffed as he looked up at the Grand Priest. "So what does that mean for the ones who got erased? Do the dragon balls get used to wish their erased universes back?"

The Grand Priest smiled a little as he heard what Vegeta said. "That is indeed true yes, that wish will be made. But until we're certain that there won't be another interference.... we will no longer be doing any more tournaments."

Goku seemed bummed out by this, but he understood what was being said. He still felt disappointed by this. Scarlet took a step forward as the Grand Priest took notice, he raised an eyebrow up as he looked down at her.

"Let me deal with Queen and her new partner in crime Kang. I have a score to settle with her anyway." Scarlet spoke as the Grimm girl looked up at him and the two Omni Kings. "Of course I can't promise I won't be causing any chaos throughout other dimensions and universes....."

"And why's that?" The Grand Priest asked curiously.

Scarlet kept her gaze on him and the Omni Kings before speaking again. "Because, Queen will do everything she can in her power to slow me down from reaching her. I've had to deal with that with Demigra previously..." It was clear she didn't mention the other times before these two. "She's doing this to slow me down and to make sure I can't stop her from what she wants to do."

The Grand Priest closed his eyes as the two Omni Kings looked at each other before looking back towards Scarlet. "We'll allow it, yeah we'll allow it... you're not from Universe 7, so we will allow it."

After the wish was made on the Super Dragon Balls, everyone was returning to their universes as Erza walked up to Scarlet before her and the others left. She stuck her arm out as she looked at Scarlet. "I never got to properly thank you for saving my ass back there... if it wasn't for you, Fairy Tail would've been erased along with the other universes.."

Scarlet looked at Erza's hand and scoffed as she looked away but shook her hand. "Yeah well, our rematch isn't over." She let go of Erza's hand as she walked off before stopping, she turned her head to look at Makarov seeing him approach her.

"Listen." Makarov said as he looked up at her. "You don't have to do this alone, if you ever need help in anything on your travels through different dimensions or universes... you can always ask for our help. Even if you deny our help, we will still be around to aid you."

"Wait gramps, are you saying she's part of the Fairy Tail family?" Natsu asked with a curious look on his face, in retrospect he was hyped to hear this but he wanted to make sure first.

Makarov looked over at Natsu not saying a word, he took time to think it over but closed his eyes. "She has helped us with our strongest enemies. But it is up to her if she truly wants to be a member of the Fairy Tail family." He walked away as he kept his eyes closed still. "Come my children, it is time for us to return to the guild."

Scarlet watched them walk away as she crossed her arms, she closed her eyes for a moment as she smirked. "You know, I can smell you right Goku?" She turned her head as she opened her eyes. "What do you want now?"

"Huh? Oh right, uh I couldn't help but over hear what you were told. So I figured, why not also count on me and the others to help you out if you're in a tight situation?" Goku asked as he rubbed the back of his head and chuckled.

Scarlet rolled her eyes as she looked away. "I'll keep it in mind, but I need to leave before Queen gets any further." Right as she said that, a rift opened up. "And speaking of which..." She took a step forward as she was about to enter the rift.

"Hey, take some of these. They might be helpful." Piccolo said tossing Scarlet a bag of Senzu Beans. "Never know when you'll need them, the way you were after Queen had nearly killed you was too much for any of the onlookers or any of us to watch." He smirked before turning around. "You might not be able to find anyone so willingly to let you feed off of their blood like Erza did, so don't go screwing things up. If you fail to stop Queen and Kang. Then we're all doomed."

Scarlet caught the bag as she placed it into her coat pocket, not saying anything else she stepped through the rift as it closed up behind her. As for where she was going next, that was something she had no idea on, nor was she sure of. For all she knew, she could end back up in the DevilArtemis universe.
