"What are you doing here?" Alpha Charles asked indignantly, as he stared at Queen Elizabeth who had come in almost immediately after the maid.

"I apologize, alpha…" Elizabeth stuttered, as she bowed slightly. Her heart raced frantically, as her mind was bubbling with the safest ideas of how she could get that poisoned dish out of Alpha Charles's hands without raising any suspicions whatsoever.

"You're still not answering the question," Alpha Charles retorted at that, as he was getting impatient with her. He had wanted to spend time alone with Leila who was yet to recover, only to have it interrupted by Elizabeth and Amelia.

"We came here to see the new queen and how she's doing," Elizabeth said, speaking up for the two of them. "You cannot imagine just how troubled we were to hear that she had been abducted, so it was only right for us to come and see--"
