The Heist

Til woke up again in her corner looking down at her ragged clothes, she realised what she had to do. Til got up and walked out to admire the lake and forest as before, "Morning" Aaron called out from the top of the cave, Til smiled as Aaron slid down and walked over to her. "What's up for today?" Aaron asked smiling at Til, "umm I was gonna try to go back to my house and get some of my clothes and come back" Til said still unsure if this was the right decision, Aaron's eyes widend and he looked worried, "Til, do you know your way back, a-and-" Aaron panicked, Til was his only friend and he didn't want to lose her. "Aaron, its ok I'll be fine my parents both have started work already and won't be back until at least 1:00 I have hours" Til said reinsuringly. "Ok make sure to get clothes and a few items" Aaron said still concerned. Til smiled trying to lighten the mood. "Will you at least let me take you to the forest line?" Aaron asked half jokingly, "yeah fine" Til said sarcastically. They started walking back past the stream, "are there fish in the stream?" Til asked glancing at the stream, "yeah, a few here and there" Aaron said fixated on Til, Aaron is a bit tall compared to Til. They continued wondering aaround till they ended up at the tree line. Aaron looked at road in front blocked by a silver metal barrier, "have you been out here before?" Til asked smiling at Aaron who was watching a silver car speed past. "yeah few times, when I've had to" Aaron said, Til nodded understanding why he wouldn't leave. "I'll be back in an hour or two" Til reassuringly, Aaron was still uneased. Til ran off on top of the barrier and watched a red car speed past, before sprinting across the road, once at the other side she turned around and waved bye at Aaron before running off. Aaron stood there watching thought she was put of sight he stood there for around 5 minutes before trying to walk away, but he couldn't, he went back to the forest line and just sat down scrunched up, he was surprised how close they were, considering they only met around 2 days ago. It was quite a walk to her house, she looked around each street and ally way, remembering all the bad times she spent there. Soon she reached her house, she was actually behind her house, in the bushes and behind a few trees. 'perfect there's no car' Til realised, she stepped closer she knew this meant they really weren't home. Aaron continued to sit as his worries over took him. Til walked carefully to the side of the house, she had to get in without being seen. Til stopped as a red car zoomed past the house. She made a decision, she ran fast past side of the house and turned to the front, she stopped running once she was infront of the door she turned the nob a few times before yanking the door mat away to reveal the spare key, "suckers" whispered under breath as she ran inside, closing the door behind her. she looked around her old home, before darting up the stairs to her room. She sighed before sitting down on her bed. Aaron watched birds fly over him, tree to tree. Til got up and picked up her school bag, with complex pattens spread on it coloured with, blue, pink, purple, hints of red and black arm straps, decorated with small stuffed animal key chains. She dumped the contents of it into her closet so get parents didn't notice, she looked through her clothes and grabbed, hoodies, shorts, long pants, tights, T-shirts, long sleeve shirts and socks, and her only pair of gray gloves. She had little too no room in her bag but grabbed her stuffed animal Dragon, it's Black fur scales looked like the night, it's purple eyes glowed beautifuly. Til wouldn't bear to leave it behind. She also grabbed her Adhd toys, Rubik's cube, fidget cube, a small red pop it and a squishy pineapple. 'now I have to get back without gaining any attention' She planned in her head. She crept down stairs, before opening the door and rushing back to the bushes behind the house. Aaron sighed it had been around an hour and he was tired but worried, he looked again at the road to see a big truck rush past. Til sneaked past few people around the street, she walked holding her breath each time she came across a person. Soon she was back at the road she crossed to enter town, 'Aaron? is he hurt!?' Til's mind raced with each passing second, she started at him until a truck hurled past. Aaron flopped his ears down at the sound of the truck, "just another reason to stay in the forest" Aaron muttered to himself. Til ran over the road once the truck left, "Aaron, you ok?" she asked darting over the road, Aaron looked up to see Til running over the road. Aaron stood up and smiled. "yeah, I was just waiting for you" Aaron laughed to himself realizing how stupid it sounded. "Did you get enough clothes?" Aaron asked looking at the bag on her back. "yep, didn't get recognized either" Til said proud of her sneaking skills. Soon they walked back making jokes to laugh about. Til watched the stream as they walked past again, "what type of fish live in the stream?" Til asked looking back up at Aaron. "A few cod and carp, there are a few more I just don't remember" Aaron said looking back down at Til.
