First

Having mentally prepared to attack goblins even if they were in groups of three, Yasuo set out again looking for goblins. And it didn't take long for him to find a group of three goblins as he had been avoiding them so far.

His heart began beating faster once again and he was filled with adrenaline, but he had confidence in himself, having defeated fifty goblins already.

As Yasuo had a strategy in min, he waited for the perfect opportunity and rushed towards the group of goblins, decapitating the first one with a single slash before stabbing the second goblin in its heart before jumping back.

The two goblins had been easily defeated before they could put up a fight and Yasuo had created a one-on-one situation with the last goblin, which he was confident that he could win.

Approaching the goblin, who had a short sword in his hand, Yasuo clashed blades with it. The goblin was unexpectedly wielding the short sword better than the other goblins, which made Yasuo put up his guard, stepping back to gain distance.

He knew that this wasn't going to be over with a single wing of his dagger, so Yasuo changed tactics. Not aiming for a single lethal hit anymore, Yasuo began to strategically hit the goblin in weak spots.

Changing up his movement pattern, Yasuo managed to avoid the strike of the goblin and he slashed the Achilles of the goblin, hindering its movement. With this done, Yasuo had an easier time avoiding the goblin and managed to slash at its wrist, making it drop its weapon.

This had created an opening, which Yasuo quickly took, slashing at the neck of the goblin. 'Yes, it was successful.'

The goblin fell to the ground and Yasuo had managed to defeat a group of three goblins, with one of them being significantly stronger than any goblin he had defeated so far.

Now knowing that he could defeat a group of three goblins, Yasuo quickly began moving forwards through the forest and fighting every group of goblins he came across.

With every fight he had with the goblins, Yasuo gained valuable experience and improved his practical fighting skills, which made every next fight with the goblins easier.

Yasuo didn't encounter any strong goblins anymore that put up a decent fight, like the goblin with the short sword. Within an hour, Yasuo had managed to defeat another sixty goblins.

After this, it became harder to find goblins. Almost fifteen minutes had passed, and only now Yasuo encountered another goblin standing alone in an open field, unarmed.

Easily being able to defeat a lone goblin, Yasuo rushes in *slash*

Notification [Portal clearing Successful]

Description: All the monsters inside the dungeon have been defeated and you can now leave the portal.

Seeing this notification pop-up made Yasuo happy.

'Oh thank god there wasn't a boss in this dungeon.'

There is a chance that a portal has a boss monster in it. The moment Yasuo had entered the portal, he was nervous thinking about the possibility of having to fight a boss monster. With a much higher strength than goblins, Yasuo wasn't confident he could defeat it in his first ever dungeon.

Yasuo let out a sigh of relief. "Let's get out of here and go home before the association comes checking for new dungeons."

Walking in the direction he came from, he sees the portal that would bring him back to earth.

Going back through the portal, a bunch of notifications popped up. Notifications and achievements that are obtained in a portal only appear after you successfully clear them and return through it.

Yasuo had expected to get a few achievements, but he got more than he had anticipated.

Achievement [First portal]

Description: Achievement for successfully clearing your first portal.

Rewards: 5 unassigned stat points

Achievement [First portal, Solo portal]

Description: Achievement for solo entering and clearing the first ever portal you go into.

Rewards: 30 unassigned stat points + First completion bonus: 30 unassigned stat points

Achievement [First monster]

Description: Achievement for defeating your first monster.

Rewards: 2 unassigned stat points

Achievement [Goblin 100]

Description: Achievement for successfully defeating 100 goblins.

Rewards: 5 strength points

The two achievements that Yasuo knew about were [First portal] and [First monster], which would have rewarded him with seven unassigned stat points.

But what he got was an unexpectedly high gain from the achievements [First dungeon, Solo Dungeon] and [Goblin 100], which rewarded him with five strength points and a whopping 45 unassigned stat points.

Not being able to believe this, Yasuo opens his status window displaying his stats.

The stats were really all there. Yasuo now had an unbelievable amount of unassigned stat points, standing at 87.

Previously Yasuo had twenty unassigned stat points, not ever having assigned them because he just didn't know what would be best for him. Seeing as it was an unreversible decision, Yasuo didn't dare carelessly assign them, and now with 87 unassigned stat points he got even more nervous about assigning them.

There was a lot going through Yasuo's head at that time, but seeing as it was midnight he decided to quickly go home and go to sleep. Thinking that a good night of sleep would help him clear his head and that he would be able to make a decision in the morning.

Still having a lot on his head while lying in bed, Yasuo unexpectedly falls asleep quickly and before he knew it the alarm clock rang, signalling a new day.

Just like Yasuo hoped, the night of sleep helped him sort his thought about what to do. Having washed up quickly, Yasuo grabs some money and a facemask and heads out to a place he didn't want to set foot in so soon.

Taking the bus, Yasuo had arrived in the middle of the centre and started walking for a few minutes. From a long way away, Yasuo spots the building he needed to go through.

A very wide building with open land surrounding it and the nearest building being over a hundred meters away. Its exterior is a magnificent display of architectural brilliance with intricate details and ornate designs that catches the eye of every person that sees it for the first time, leave onlookers in awe.

As Yasuo approaches the building, he puts on his facemask not wanting to get recognized. Greeted at a grand entrance, Yasuo steps through the doors, immediately being struck by the building's spaciousness and grandeur. The interior were meticulously designed, with soaring ceilings, graceful arches, and elegant columns that created an atmosphere of sophistication and refinement.

In contrast to the sophisticated interior of the building, were the people inside it. Every single person there was an awakened, creating an intimidating atmosphere with their protruding auras.

The building Yasuo had entered is the N.A.B. 'National Awakener Bureau'.

Yasuo's Idea was that he could get a consultation about how he could best distribute his unassigned stat points. Looking around the spacious building, Yasuo sees a reception and walks towards.

"Good morning, can I sign in for a consultation?" Asked Yasuo in a nervous tone, trying to talk with a deeper tone.

The reception looked up at Yasuo with a service smile. "Yes, that is possible sir. What type of consultation do you want?"

"I want to inquire about how to distribute my unassigned stat points if possible." Said Yasuo, trying to avoid the gaze of the receptionist.

The receptionist looked at the computer. "Okay sir, there is an opening in fifteen minutes. Here is your number, you can wait in right over there and your name will be called once the consultant is ready."

Yasuo thanked the receptionist and sat down in the waiting area. Not expecting him to be this nervous to talk someone there, Yasuo lets out a sigh and tried to calm himself down before he was called up for the consultation.

Luckily he was successful as his leg wasn't shaking anymore and his heartbeat had returned to normal.

"Number twenty-one?"

Yasuo looked down at his number, which was number twenty-one, It was Yasuo's turn for the consultation.

Entering the room, a huge amount of pressure could be felt coming from the consultant. The consultant had a strong aura, which Yasuo hadn't expected. It was the strongest awakener that Yasuo had met besides Hana Lee.

"What are you doing, not going to sit down?" Said the consultant with a stern voice.

Shaken up by this, Yasuo quickly replies. "oh, yes sir."

Sitting down in the chair, the consultant looks Yasuo straight in the eye and seems to be displeased by something.

Yasuo gets nervous and starts the conversation. "Hello sir, I am Yasuo. I am here to get advice on how to distribute my unassigned stat points."

The consultant didn't answer Yasuo and there was an awkward silence in the room as the consultant was ticking his finger on the desk repeatedly, making Yasuo uncomfortable.

"Why don't you take your mask on first before we have a conversation, didn't your parents teach you some respect?" Said the consultant, breaking the silence.

Yasuo was conflicted by this, but took his mask of anyway. "So can we start the conversation now? Oh and for your information, my parents taught me well so don't bring them up anymore." Yasuo said in an unexpectedly unwavering tone.

Having set the tone, they continued their conversation.

"First tell me your class, fighting style and any additional information that will be useful for me." Said the consultant.

Yasuo had expected this question, so he already decided that he would only tell him necessary information, but not his class or anything about his evolution dagger.

"My class is [Magic dagger wielder], I wield a dagger in my right hand and I can use some magic while fighting."

The consultant seemed to look pleased by what Yasuo said. "Hmm, I have heard of the [Magic swordsman] class, but never a class that combines the dagger and magic. Interesting."

Yasuo looked relieved that the consultant didn't question it much and knew that he had passed the biggest hurdle and could now comfortably continue the conversation.

"I think I have a pretty good grasp on the situation. Can you show me your stats so that I can better help you." Asked the consultant genuinely and sounding professional for the first time.

Yasuo opened his status window and shared the stat view with the consultant.

The consultant seemed surprised by Yasuo's stats. "Wow, I haven't seen so many unassigned stat points build up by anyone so far, haha." He said, looking pleased.

"Yes sir, I have been saving them for quite a while." Yasuo said, blatantly lying.

"I see. I will tell you my opinion on how you should distribute your stat points and after that you can decide if you want to assign them, sounds good?" Asked the consultant, who seemed like he was having fun.

Hearing this made Yasuo excited. "Yes sir!"

"Okay, the two most important stats for a dagger wielder are strength and agility and the most important stats for a magic user is mana. If I were you, I would put 22 points into agility, 19 points into strength, 15 points into mana. The remaining 16 stat points I would advice splitting between stamina, defence and endurance with a split of 3:1:1." Said the consultant confidently.

Hearing the reasoning behind this, Yasuo felt confident in this distribution as he had also thought something similar would be best.

Before even thinking about it any longer, Yasuo started excitedly distributing the unassigned stat points as the consultant had advised.

Still being able to see the screen, the consultant laughed out loud. "Interesting boy, I haven't seen someone immediately distribute their stat points without much thought or hesitation like you."

Yasuo thanked the consultant, quickly left the National Awakener Bureau and went home to admire the new stats he now had, putting a smile on his face from seeing how much stronger he had gotten from clearing his first portal.
