PROLUGUE

"after everything I've done for you, this is how you repay me?" Bai luoheng said, looking at li Xiaoping with an expressionless face.

"what did you do for me, huh?" he asked with a questioning look. "with my memories not deceiving me, I'm sure that the only thing you did for me was to make me look bad to the whole city, you foolish woman!" Li Xiaoping shouted.

"well, I'm pretty sure you want me dead, and even if I'm alive, my emotions are already dead, so there's no point of living". Bai luoheng said.

looking at the guard beside her, she removed his sword and stabbed herself. it happened so quickly and swiftly like the wind that the guard couldn't control his mouth.

"close that filthy mouth of yours before a fly goes in. have you never seen someone as fast as that and even more faster than that?" Li Xiaoping yelled in irritation.

"yes Prince, I'm sorry" the innocent guard said immediately the prince said his last word.

"quickly discard this body far in the bushes. the vultures will surely do their job happily. what are you still doing standing there!"

"oh, sorry prince" the guard said and quickly started to drag the body.

"sometimes, I do think that vultures and ants are more sensible and hardworking than you foolish humans who have no sense of reasoning." he said with a frown of irritation and walked away.

"like you're not a human too" the guard said in his mind. "if not for my family and food, I won't be doing these filthy unclean jobs for the prince. no one would believe that prince Xiaoping can do such a thing to a woman, his wife for that matter" the guard muttered to himself after the prince was gone and sighed.

"hey brother, where have you been, I've been searching for you everywhere." Li mo Zhi said waving her hand as soon as she sited her brother.

"oh, umm... I was just settling some matters but it has already resolved though." he lied

"what matters?"

"its none of your business"

Li mo zhi frowned.

"but I'm here now, there's nothing to worry about." he said laughing. "by the way, what happened?" Li Xiaoping asked tactically trying to avoid any more unfriendly questions.

"mum has sent for you" Li mo zhi said and turned away to leave, but suddenly, her face brightened for an unknown reason.

"aha! least I forget, do you perhaps know where sister in law is?" she said stretching her head to search. "I've been looking for her too for what seems like ages and I can't find her still."

"no! I don't know where she is!" he said immediately. "I better get going before mum becomes upset." he said and walked away.

"tsk, why did brother answer me so quickly.  *sigh* love can do wonders, I can't wait to get married." she said in a dreamy way after li Xiaoping was gone. "any way, its none of my business as brother will say" she laughed and continued walking.

but she didn't know that the person who she has been looking for was long gone and dead but not dead...
