Chapter Thirty-Two

I walked into a large meeting room, The King sat at the head of the large table that filled most of the space, and several noble men and women sat around it. A man with black going to grey hair stood at the end, obviously waiting for me.

"Hello, Rosela I am your Grandfather, I've come to rescue you." I simply raised and eyebrow at this.

"Now we've had our differences in the past, but I don't want you to be a slave to this man. Come with me, and you and your mom can be free, and live back at our home. You can play dress up again and have all the toys you want, just like when you were very little. You probably can't remember but-" I simply held a finger up and he stopped speaking, then I spoke.

"Sir, the only thing you tried to save me from, is my inheritance. You never wanted me, never cared never even came to see me. Oh and don't say my mother lied to protect me, my memory is quite good, I know you never cared. And to top it off, if you ever, EVER cared even slightly, you wouldn't had tried to rob us. You only care now because of my intelligence and magic." The room was filled with silence and then the old man spoke desperately. He was really starting to annoy me with the act that was so clearly fake.

"She doesn't mean this! He's using her mother as leverage, please believe me! I don't want to lose my granddaughter! Please, that man is controlling them, I just want my family!" He tried to play the victim act, but I glared at him cooly.

"He-" But I cut him off.

"If something like that actually happened you wouldn't have waited this long." I then turned to address the nobles. They flinched back as soon as I turned my sharp glare on them.

"I have, and never will, want anything to do with this man. You all have your own agendas and that's cool, but we all know he's lying. He's just a greedy old man, and I never intend to go anywhere with him. Ever. Now I am going to return to the Infirmary, I technically shouldn't have even left yet, and am going to sleep. I am not going to deal with him further." I state and then I turn on heel and storm out of the room, and back to the warm bed that awaited me.
