Chapter Eleven

Willow Ravenwell was the youngest daughter of the Ravenwell family, an old Marquis house. She was sweet with chocolate colored hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was quiet and was around my own age, and when she came to the palace we hit it off well.

"Rosieeee your sooooo smart!" She cheerfully cries out when I explain something.

"No, I just study a lot." I smile at her but she shakes her finger at me.

"No Rosieeee is suuuupppperrr smart and humwble!" She still had an adorable lisp, and I absolutely adored it. If only I was this cute. Sigh~ I leaned down and picked a dandelion from the grass bordering the road, and wove it into a small flower ring before I handed it to her.

"Nah, now we need to get back, your dad should be done with the meeting now." I stood and then offered my hand to help her up. She took it and we headed to the castle. Within ten paces she tripped and magnificently rolled sideways and then down the hill next to which we had been walking.

"Owwwieee!" I sighed before I slid down the hill easily and walked to where she landed.

"Honestly. What am I going to do with you?" I reached down and pulled her to her feet easily.

"Roesiieeee will you be a knight when you get older?" I rolled my eyes as she dusted herself off.

"Can't, remember? Girls can't be knights, plus no one will teach a girl swordsmanship." Her face fell and I laughed weakly at her, she's a mess, this one is.

"Dadddyyyy!" She leaped in Marquis's arms like a toddler and I had to smile. Her age wasn't very far off, but by now she should have been trained in ettiquete.

"Ahhh my little Willow, did you have fun playing with your friend?" He laughed in a light hearted manner, and my heart panged with regret at never knowing my father, in both lives.

"Roeeeee! Byyyyyeeee!" When we were around his father she always seemed to call me Roe. She said it was because she wanted him to believe I was a maids daughter, so I was called Roe to make it harder for him to figure out who I was. I didn't think it would stop him, but I let her do it. S-shut up there's just no point in fighting her ok!

"Bye Willow, study while your at home too ok? Especially ettiquete!" I called and she stuck her tongue out at me from over her dad's shoulder.
