-Chapter 11-

-3rd Person POV-

The royal procession arrived at King's Landing after more than a moon on the roads, it was massive: 200 red cloaks, 200 Baratheon guards, and 200 Griffin Knights from House Connington, all equipped with the finest armors to represent their houses proudly.

Leading the procession was the king, accompanied by Lord Ronnet "Red" Connington, followed by the Kingslayer Jaime Lannister, Barristan "the Bold" Selmy, and the rest of the royal guard, slightly behind the prince arrived with his guard Sandor "the Hound" Clegane, and the rest of the procession slowly made their entrance one after the other.

The inhabitants of Winterfell Castle gathered in the courtyard with their liege lord and his family members to welcome the entire royal family.

Everyone kneeled before the king once on the ground, and he raised two fingers for the Warden of the North, his oldest friend, to rise.

He said, looking at him coldly, "you've gotten fat."

Everyone held their breath as the warden of the north cast a meaningful glance at his king's belly, the two didn't exchange words for several seconds before bursting into laughter and embracing each other.

-MC POV-

Witnessing these famous scenes that I had seen in my previous life live for a moment plunged me into a kind of melancholy until Cersei opened her mouth and said to Robert who was already heading towards the crypt:

"The dead can wait, my love."

I restrained the urge to facepalm and simply rolled my eyes, a gesture the hawk noticed because she narrowed her eyes, and I just shrugged before handing the reins of my horse to my new squire, who was none other than my son Ronald.

A decision he made himself, 9 years was quite young to squire, but he had an athletic physique even for a kid his age at 150 cm tall, by the way, I passed 195cm last year.

We were welcomed by Lady Stark, who immediately made us comfortable with wine and good food, everyone was partying, and I pretended to enjoy it too, but I couldn't help thinking about the future, everything was going to go seriously wrong from now on, and I had to be vigilant to any changes that presented themselves to me...but before that, why not enjoy the hospitality of this beautiful red-haired servant with piercing blue eyes who hasn't stopped smiling at me since the start of this dinner.

"Red, the queen is calling for you," said Rodrik from the other side of the door.

"Tell her to wait, I'm sleeping," I said in a sleepy tone, pressed by two weights on either side of my chest.

I sat up, feeling someone violently open my door, only to find Cersei observing me with a killer look.

I sighed and said, "I'll be there in 5 minutes."

She said nothing and immediately left.

The two girls who had been awakened by Cersei quickly took their clothes and fled in less than two seconds without looking back.

'I really feel used.'

I shook my head before getting up and refreshing myself with a basin of water that the servants had brought.

Arriving at the table where the entire Lannister family was having breakfast, I found Ronald sitting next to Tommen, chatting. I tousled his hair as I passed and he smiled before I sat next to Tyrion and took a slice of sausage.

"Your Majesty," I said.

"The night was good?" she asked in a tone that betrayed no emotion.

"Is that a trick question?" I said, unsure of how to respond.

"No, hardly, since you prefer to ignore your queen for lowly whores," she replied in a venomous tone.

"What's a whore, mother?" asked Tommen innocently with wide eyes.

Joffrey smirked mockingly while everyone else fell silent, and Cersei nearly choked on her wine before I said:

"It's a very mean woman."

The rest of the breakfast passed quickly until I said I had to go train with my men to dodge Cersei's foul mood.

-Cersei POV-

Winterfell, though majestic in its way, felt foreign to me.

The biting cold of the North constantly reminded me that this was not my home, the Stark family, so different from mine, made my stay even more challenging.

Their wild pride and stoic demeanor contrasted with the refinement and intrigues of King's Landing.

But what irritated me most was the audacity of Ronnet Connington, his confidence, his closeness with the king, all of it annoyed me.

And now, this morning's episode, where he dared respond to my provocations with such nonchalance, had put me in a black rage.

He had turned my attempt to scold him into an amusing spectacle, even a vast joke for all those present at the table.

Yet, what troubled me the most was the admiration in my son Tommen's eyes.

He seemed increasingly drawn to the heroic figure that was Ronnet, this almost hypnotic influence on my son, I couldn't accept, having too much power over a prince by someone outside our family could not be tolerated in any way.

I needed to unwind, to think about how to regain control, Jaime, my brother and confidant, was the only one I could truly confide in without fearing judgment or his indiscretion.

I looked for him in the castle courtyard and saw him, there, training with a sword with some men, his agility and mastery of the sword always reminded me of how powerful he was.

I went to him, placed my hand on his arm, and whispered, "Come with me."

We headed to an abandoned tower I had spotted earlier, a secluded place, away from the hustle and bustle of the court, perfect for our confidences.

Entering, I was greeted by the biting cold of the stone, but Jaime's presence at my side warmed me.

We immediately gave in to passion until my eyes widened at the sight of a pair of blue eyes and red hair that froze me like a statue...
