Chapter 016 Ambushing the enemy

Menma learns the Wild Water wave technique and the Air Bullet. As a Wind user, he also learns the Vacuum Sword technique. The Air Bullet is only available to low-level Genin. There is another version of the Air Bullet technique that is continuous and more effective than the standard one.

It had been three weeks since Menma learned he possessed the Ice Release. He spent most of his time between the Border Patrol and caring for the injured. The rest of his time was dedicated to training and other activities.

Menma has been secretly tinkering with Sealing Jutsu in his room. He is close to finishing another one of his newly-born masterpieces. His room is filled with sealing alphabets; he used to be a programmer in his previous life, so he uses his knowledge of programming code models to create something new with sealing.

His mind computer helped him skip many steps; otherwise, it would have taken many years to create such things.

The Fuinjutsu rune is completed and gathers on the extreme right shoulder of Menma. It forms an ouroboros symbol of a dragon eating its own tail and a small circle of Fuinjutsu surrounding it.

Menma thought, "At last I finished the seal cracker. It can even break Chakra seals on me. So no one can seal my chakra anymore. I can break any fuinjutsu traps whoever tries to apply them on me. It works like an anti-trapping device for me. A code to bypass any Fuinjutsu seal placed on me, others or even break any Fuinjutsu like an anti-code. It also works on Genjutsu which disrupts chakra from within. It will immediately warn my body. Tsukuyomi and other genjutsu will fail if they try it on me. No one can control me or even confuse my mind and body."

He looked at the description of this newly-made Fuinjutsu. "Ourbourous" was the name he gave it. Not only would it protect him against other Fuinjutsu, but it would help him break them easily. Genjutsu is also like a program invading from outside, so it could break it easily with its own program. And Menma would be able to break the Sharingan's genjutsu.

Menma thought in his heart, "Did I just surpass many people at the Fuinjutsu level? And created something that even Orochimaru wouldn't be able to think of it. His Mind Computer started scanning the Hyuga members without even being noticed. Menma had tried it before, but now he looked excited to see that it worked. He could scan other people's bodies just like his own.

Meanwhile, Menma started talking with Kosuke Maburashi. He was slightly curious about Kosuke and his jutsu arsenal. Don't take this old man for granted; he has tremendous willpower in his old body, and he hides many dangerous jutsu in his arsenal.

Menma asked, "I heard that you've been a genin for more than 35 years. You must have done a lot of missions. You may have even participated in the First, Second, and now Third Ninja War."

Kosuke noticed the young chunin. He had heard about Menma. The kid had killed a group of ten chunin and one jonin; that was more than just interesting and dangerous.

Kosuke said, "I have participated in many wars and battles. I have also completed numerous missions. It is very dangerous for wars to occur frequently."

Kosuke began telling his war experiences to Menma. Menma realized that even someone like Kosuke was tired of constant wars.

Menma asked, "You've met all the Hokage since then. Even the first and second Hokage. How did you feel when you first saw them?"

He wanted to know the real powerhouse behind building Konoha. The third Hokage was just like a guardian. But the first and second Hokages were the ones who created Konoha.

Kosuke said, "Third Hokage, you've seen him. Back then, when he was in his prime, he led us to win the second Ninja War. It was not easy to follow in the footsteps of the first and second generations. The second Hokage was something else. He built the Konoha system even before he became Hokage. From the Academy to ANBU are his creations."

Kosuke was recalling the past.

He continued," Back then it took twenty S-rank shinobi from Cloud Village to kill him alone. And they had already assassinated the second Raikage at that time. Those two brothers, Kinkaku and Ginakaku, were terrible war maniacs. They even survived being swallowed by the nine-tailed beast, but even they couldn't escape from the Second Hokage, despite having many powerful allies."

Menma asked, "What about the first Hokage? "

He sighed and continued, "No one knew about this kekkai genkai at first, but the first Hokage was the one who made it famous. He was so powerful that it made no sense. That's why he was hailed as the God of Shinobi. Only Madara Uchiha was his match, but even he failed in the end when they faced each other."

Kosuke's words shocked everyone. The first Hokage's power in the words of Kosuke is so great that it's even to an unbelievable degree.

A Hyuga member suddenly announced, "A group of enemies are within range."

They had shifted their attention immediately; all of them were ready for a possible battle. They hid in an ambush.

The enemy unit got closer, but it looked like they were laying traps. There's a total of five people, and they look like Cloud chunin at best.

They were looking around everywhere and making sure no one was there. A hand emerged from underground and a kunai was inserted into the back of the most vulnerable person. The leaf team leader came out of the ground.

A Hyuga member suddenly appeared and struck at the throat of the front Cloud ninja. The man was gasping for breath and fell to the ground. He was still alive but going unconscious.

The other three cloud ninjas also became alert. But it was too late.

One of the cloud ninjas said, "It's an ambush. Send the signal."

The three separated as a tactical maneuver in different directions.

One of the Cloud Ninjas was stopped by Menma. Menma blocked his punch immediately. They started fighting in a Taijutsu match. A strike to the left leg was blocked by Menma again. Suddenly, a kunai came from the downside, from the right side.

Again Menma blocked it. Suddenly, he kicked his opponent with a swift swan attack.

"Swan kick,"

The cloud chunin immediately began performing a series of hand signs and said, "Wind Blade!" Menma also started performing hand signs.

It was like an invisible air blade. But Menma dodged it immediately as he sensed its direction.

Menma also finished his hand signs.

"Air bullet"

The Cloud chunin almost dodged it, but the air bullet scratched his left hand. The impact was too great; he would be unable to use it for a while. He tried to take the signal flare out. But Menma kicked him away and took the signal flare, then crushing it.

The Cloud Chunin tried to run away, but Menma wouldn't leave him and continued to chase after him.

The Cloud ninja didn't get far before the Leaf Team leader appeared and decapitated him.

The Leaf Team leader looked at Menma and said, "Good job."

They easily subdued them. There is another member nearby; if Menma were in a difficult situation, he would have helped him. However, this boy shocked the other guy.

The Leaf Team leader looked at the unconscious cloud ninja and signaled a person from the Yamanaka Clan to check his memories.

Everyone is silent, and no one is talking.

Meanwhile, Menma treats the members of their team who were injured. Shura and Dan are also injured. Five of them have been injured after facing the terrible dying Cloud Chunin counterattack.

Menma treated them all one by one. None of them were seriously injured. He finished casting his mystical palm on each person in less than a minute.

Yamanaka woke up from meditation and removed his hand from the unconscious person. He said, "We found the exact location. It is not deep within the mountains, but underground. The entrance is quite close to here. If we had gone a little farther, we would have encountered at least 100 Chunins and Genins, along with 20 Jonins."

The Lead Team member thought for a moment and replied, "We'll retreat; we only have the scout mission."

He killed the unconscious guy and collected all the dead Cloud chunin; their group then retreated immediately.

They found two Cloud Ninja groups while going back. They were on the lookout or laying traps. But they got ambushed by the Leaf Team. A few of them were injured, and they returned to a safe distance for medical assistance. After they were healed, they went back to their Konoha base camp.
