Chapter 7 : A Small Mercy

As I finished my meal, Kim Namjoon nodded in approval. "You need to keep your strength up," he said, his voice still low and menacing.

I looked around the room, still trying to take in my new surroundings. The windows were still barred, and the door was still locked. But...there was something different. A small, delicate vase on the table, filled with a single, exquisite rose.

It was a tiny, fragile thing, but it was a reminder that beauty still existed, even in this dark place. And for that, I was grateful.

"Thank you," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Kim Namjoon's expression didn't change, but I thought I saw a flicker of something in his eyes. "You're welcome," he said, his voice a little softer than before.

It was a small mercy, but it was something. And in this dark, twisted world, I would take any small mercy I could get.

I looked at the rose again, feeling a sense of hope that I hadn't felt in a long time. Maybe, just maybe, there was a way out of this place. Maybe Kim Namjoon wasn't as monstrous as I thought.

But as I looked up at him, I saw the same cold, calculating gaze that I had seen before. And I knew that I couldn't let my guard down. Not yet.

"What do you want from me?" I asked, my voice a little stronger now.

Kim Namjoon smiled, a small, cruel smile. "Oh, I think you know," he said. "I want you. Body and soul."

I shuddered at the thought, feeling a chill run down my spine. I was trapped, caught in a web of darkness and desire. And I didn't know how to escape.

"You're a monster," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Kim Namjoon laughed, a low, menacing sound. "Maybe," he said. "But I'm a monster who can give you everything you've ever wanted."

I shook my head, trying to clear the cobwebs. "No," I said. "You can't give me anything. Because I don't want anything from you."

Kim Namjoon's expression changed, his eyes flashing with anger. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice dripping with malice.

And with that, he turned and left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. And the rose. A small mercy, but a reminder that even in the darkest places, there is always hope.

I looked at the rose, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. I would find a way out of this place, no matter what it took. I would escape.
