Swwwiiiish!!

Aidan narrowed his eyes, barely able to keep up with the snake's movements, between its fast movements and constantly disappearing into the shadows he could barely keep up.

'It's coming, move Calvin!! Aidan shouted

When he concentrated, he could see the movements of the scarlet snake, its scarlet scales glittered drastically before attacking.

Which was something he couldn't even properly see in the beginning. This was all due to the increase In his agility stat.

Just before the scarlet Snake opened its jaw wide and tried to swallow him, Aidan swiftly moved barely avoiding the attack. At the same time, the scarlet snake did not give up swinging his tail only to catch Aidan off guard. Tightening its grip around Aidan.

18 points into strength!!

Aidan increased his Strength Stat once more his strength was now 50.

An unbelievably powerful pressure of strength overwhelmed him, as the snakes grabbed hold of him.

Aidan!! Calvin shouted! Calvin ran towards the creature slamming his bat against the snake's eye while it was distracted by Aidan.

Knowing fairly well his attacks wouldn't have hurt him anywhere else.

Roar!!!!

The snake could no longer allow them to escape. Aidan gritted his teeth and strengthened his grip on his sword as the snake tightened its grip as well.

Slash! The snake cried while attempting to. Slam Aidan's body against the pillars surrounding the space.

Angered, Calvin's body was slammed against the wall in the midst of it all.

Accompanied by a rather awful noise of the wall cracking.. "crack!"

CALVIN!!

Cough-I'm okay hurry, finish the bastard! Calvin cried out before losing consciousness. He was clearly in bad shape. Calvin must've had a few broken ribs by now.

'Dam it if he hadn't raised his levels as high as he could before coming here...he would be.'

There was no end to wondering about 'what could've happened."

However, all kinds of thoughts still ran through Aidan's head.

Just before the snake opened its mouth in an attempt to eat away at Aidan, he swiftly brought his sword up into the beast's mouth.

He then tightened his grip, the immense strength in the snake's jaw was tremendous as it shouted in pain. He could not help grit his teeth in pain as he attempted to push the sword into the snake's brain.

Crack!

In those mere moments, the sound of his blade snapping echoed accompanied by the sound of the creature crying in pain followed.

The Scarlet snake couldn't withstand the pain, releasing Aidan from its deadly grip. Aidan grabbed his broken blade pushing it deeper into the creature's brain. Causing it to fall silent.

As expected of a high-level monster.

His level rose by 3 after killing the Scarlet Snake.

Aidan tightly clenched his fists, if he hadn't gotten this far Calvin could've died.

In just a single day, he raised his level from 1 up to 8.

When he started checking out the dead snake, a light began gleaming from somewhere within its body.

'Loot?'

His jaw completely dropped, he couldn't believe loot even existed. Aidan reached out towards the bright light.

As soon as he read these words, a book appeared in the place of the small light.

A book from the snake corpse had appeared, this must've been how it hid so well.

Aidan nodded his head.

".....For the time being, I should just hold onto it."

With a prideful expression, he picked the book up to inspect the contents only for the book to start glowing brightly.

Before he could stop, a wave of information flowed into his mind.

Noo! Aidan shouted in surprise causing his wounds to hurt more. He still hadn't learned anything before learning the skill. He couldn't help but blame himself. First of all, he didn't know how the book worked to start.

It was then, the garage surroundings began crumbling down.

Fuck is the building falling due to the snake…fuck, Calvin.

Suddenly, his sights blurred for a bit, he wasn't in any better shape. The slight bit of dizziness didn't help either. He wouldn't be able to hold on for much longer. There was also the loss of blood which wasn't helping either. When he took a look around, he found Calvin lying on the ground and pulled him up to carry him outside.

The lights outside were barely glowing. He couldn't hold much longer before the sound of the building collapsing from inside fell behind him.

"....But, where is everyone?"

Not just people, but even the monsters were strangely absent.

While he was trudging towards safety, he couldn't spot a single person. But, as he made his way towards safety his body could no longer hold on. From the weight of carrying Calvin along with his body bridled by the giant snake, he couldn't help lose consciousness, but someone shouted at Aidan from afar before he could catch a glimpse.

"Who goes there?"
