"Master!" Ruby screamed, her heart sinking as she watched him collide with the ravine wall, the force of the impact reverberating through the ground. Without hesitation, she dashed toward him, her sword a blur as she deflected a blow from one of the guardian's massive claws.
Nicholas, still reeling from the creature's earlier counterattack, gritted his teeth and pushed himself to his feet. "We can't take this thing down with just brute force," he thought, eyes scanning the creature for any sign of weakness. "It's barely flinching from our attacks, whatever we throw at it, it will simply take it without even pausing."
Ruby reached Lyle's side, helping him to his feet. "Are you alright?" she asked, concern evident in her voice. Drakor and the others all glanced at Lyle, warry present in their eyes as they quickly dodged the blows of the guardian.
