Felix: Where could she be going, I think I understand how a spell works, which is a good thing to learn first

[Felix, after a few days]

Felix: I have been continuously reading and memorising spells but I can't understand how they work all they say is do this, say this, practise this but there isn't anything on how they work

Felix: 'Hey BOK, can you tell me how spells work'

[BOK stays silent and Felix falls asleep and wakes up with an idea]

Felix: Oh my god, all of them depend on your mana centre near the bellybutton, and all mana is converted and the mana channels control the amount and the way it comes out as a spell but people are limited by their mana centre's conversion capacity but she said I could use all mana

[Felix reads about demons and monsters and realizes the ultimate body he has]

Felix: Man, these monsters develop from age and what they eat while demons from the mana cores consume humans who can efficiently control their attributes and have a more refined conversion unlike demons blunt but they can convert many mana types and are the only species that can absorb mana

[Felix goes out running cutting through the roofs off the red light district and hears Cara speaking to someone even though she was hiding her presence, but he ignores her and goes to Old Lady's house]

Felix: "Hey Old Lady, sorry I don't know your name but I figured out how spells work Cara was in redlight district so I came here"

[Grenda and Old Lady looked at each other and back at Felix]

Old Lady: "Are you sure Cara was there"

Felix: "Yeah, I'm pretty sure, why, she has some work there right"

Old Lady: "We will be back with you later"

[They walk out]

Felix: What is happening, I'll go talk to Melissa tonight

[Felix visits Drak and goes to the inn then goes to the dream world, Melissa arrives a few minutes later and the place is a balcony of the royal castle with no disturbances]

Melissa: 'So, why now, why not before'

Felix: 'What should I say'

Melissa: 'Say something, why won't you talk to me regularly'

Felix: 'I'll talk to you most of the time if you want'

Melissa: 'Leave it, our relationship is not normal for me to expect the usual lover'

Felix: 'I am no expert but I like you and after I defeat you, maybe you can travel with me'

Melissa: 'Where?'

Felix: 'To explore the entire continent and the other continents'

Melissa: 'We can talk about the other, continents later but I'll come with you'

Felix: 'Are you sure about this'

Melissa: 'Yeah'

Felix: 'We are going to run to travel'

Melissa: 'I can learn a spell for that'

Felix: 'You really are committed to this'

Melissa: 'What, you're scared to be with me or what'

[Felix gets surprised]

Felix: 'No, but if you are this committed, talk to your father or he will follow us'

Melissa: 'You got a point there, I will talk'

Felix: 'What if you don't want to keep a commitment later, cause I'll stay with you'

Melissa: 'Soon, I would be forced to marry anyway so, I would rather be stuck with you who already promises an interesting and adventurous life over some rich boring noble'

Felix: 'I know this is a serious conversation but I don't feel comfortable at all'

Melissa: 'I'll talk to my father about engagement as an official and convenient reason to be with you'

Felix: 'Whatever you say'

Melissa: 'This is not romantic at all'

Felix: 'Let's just have a very mutual and understanding relationship'

Melissa: 'What did you just say'

Felix: 'Yeah'

[And there is an awkward silence]

Melissa: 'I'll go talk to my father now'

Felix: 'Do that'

Melissa: 'And I need to be your first wife'

Felix: 'Can I have 2?'

[They leave dream world]

Felix: She is gonna struggle 

[The next day morning Felix realizes he is low on money]

Felix: "Back to guild"

[Felix takes an A- offer of protecting the royal palace for 2 days with 2 gold as a reward]

Felix: This is a real easy way to make some quick money

[Felix goes to the palace and is allowed to enter without an issue after showing the request to the guards]

Felix: People are nervous, something might just happen, for the request to be applied

[Felix asks one of the guards for the need for extra security]

Guard 1: ..You don't know about the elves here..

Guard 2: ..They are asking for some kind of permission to access ancient elven ruins, rumors say there was ancient alchemy..

Guard 1: ..They have a past of assassinating kings and queens when their requests are denied..

[Another guard comes running]

Guard 3: ..The king has refused, to gather all guards and hire guards to the courtyard for their orders..

Guard 2: ..Follow me..

[They are in the courtyard and a general announces the orders]

General1: ..All the hired guards will be in the outer wall and watch towers while the soldiers will be in the place..

[The general goes in and a barrier is activated around the palace but not the outer wall and a couple of hours later]

Felix: Shit, I am getting the gut feeling that I used to get before danger

[Felix senses a pattern in mana changes in the surroundings]

Felix: Somethings coming

[A bird comes from the direction of the mana changes]

Felix: Oh, just a bird

[Felix turns back and realizes]

Felix: That is a crow and it should be asleep right

[Arrows are fired at guards and half of them are surprised and are hit but the rest are defending and Felix senses some of the elves splitting off and heading to the palace]

Felix: Oh no you don't

[Felix runs behind the elves which are headed to the barrier through the hole before it closes]

Felix: I can't sense those dark figures
