"What's her problem?" Toussaint frowned, sitting behind her desk after almost kicking Aria out of her car. They got to know nothing, the questioning didn't tell them anything about the events.

Hell, and that wasn't even Aria's fault.

Toussaint was wondering what was wrong with Callaghan. Was she just like that, or maybe she just wanted to be seen like a mean bitch, actually being a softie? Nah, that didn't seem to be the case, but at the same time Chyler was aware she couldn't just discard that possibility.

The phone started ringing, so she picked it up, not even looking at the screen. She rarely did.

"Toussaint."

"Chyler, hello, I got your guy, the stabbed one!" she heard a very joyous voice of the pathologist that was working in their morgue. "I got your partner on the phone before, such a charming soul. She wanted to accompany me during the autopsy, do you want to join us?"

"What?" Toussaint looked at the phone as if it shifted into a python and wanted to constrict her to death. "My new partner?"

"Aria? Aria Callaghan, that's her name for what I learned. Is she not?" the pathologist lowered her voice to sound more like she was conspiring. "Oh my god, do I have an impostor here? Tell me how to get rid of her."

"No need to get rid of me." Chyler heard Callaghan, and she was not sounding amused even a bit. "Though I am sure Pompidou Museum would rather prefer to tell you she doesn't know me."

Toussaint closed her eyes and exhaled quietly through her nostrils, squeezing the base of her nose and trying not to explode. One day. They were working together for one day, and Callaghan wasn't even able to show some elemental respect to her partner.

"I'm sorry, Adaman, I can't join you for the endeavor, but do feel free to tell me all afterwards. And I'll also await the report. Can you pass that information to Callaghan?"

"Ah, sure, such a pity you're not coming around." Adaman sighed with resignation. "But I get it."

"What, wanting to puke on sight?" Aria scoffed, and Toussaint was able to picture her mocking smirk, arms crossed on her chest and the pseudo laid-back impression she was making. The detective's eyebrow twitched.

"Thanks for the call, though. Have fun or something." She sighed, hanging up. Then she looked at the door to her office and frowned.

Adaman said 'charming soul' while referring to Aria. How the hell was it even possible?
