Love and lust

Days passed, months and then years. As we all know time is a healer and the pain recedes away. I managed to pass my higher education level with first-class Horner and I got a good-paying job in the city. Mary on the other hand also got a job and it was a coincidence that we met while working in the same organization. Memories used to haunt me not knowing that she was also disturbed, it was like a miracle,we met while on our daily routine. One day I got courageous and asked her for a date. We Planned to catch up in one of the restaurants in the city. We met and reconciled by forgiving each other. We got into a relationship again, we promised to love each other.❣️

We worked together, I did not know how uncomfortable it is to work with your girlfriend. We worked for another year without jeopardizing our relationship though some people seemed to question us.

After agreeing with Mary I proposed to her about marriage and she said "yes". During the December holiday, I took her to our home and introduced her to my family, my neighbors, and my relatives. My mother was so happy about it. She was liked by everyone, thus it was easy to stay in the village for one month. We came back to the city after staying in the village. Mary stayed in a different street from me and we mostly met during the weekend. I started planning for the wedding ceremony. Within two months everything was ready and we held up a massive wedding ceremony in the city which raised attention in the country.

I was so happy to have somebody to call my wife. I never thought Mary's parents would accept my request but it was all fine with them. They wished us a happy marriage full of blessings. My parents also congratulated me on getting myself a wife. We thanked God for that far.

After the wedding, Mary had to relocate to my place where a new journey started as husband and wife. Everything was fine; we enjoyed our honeymoon in the Philippines. The environment in Manila was pleasant and we were so happy.

After two weeks of Honey, we came back to Africa and life had to continue as normal. We continue with our work as usual. Two years passed and Mary had no signs of gettingI pregnant, I became worried since my parents had started drama over that. I used to receive frequent mobile phone calls from various relatives urging me to get another wife. My mother could call three times a day contending to accept her idea of getting a good wife for me. I ignored my mother most of the time. Without getting tired, she decided to come to the city. She was so fierce that my wife got scared. I begged her to go back to the village promising her that everything will be fine soon.

We went to the hospital for an examination about our health status and we were all fine. Another year passed. When I was almost giving up on getting a baby with Mary, one day she came around Feeling unwell. I took her for medication and she was found two months pregnant. I was so happy after receiving the news. She was also overwhelmed after getting what she was expecting after 5 years of marriage.

She had thoughts that she was cursed or bewitched but finally she could have a permanent smile on her face. We came home walking majestically, we felt like walking on air. This good news was spread to all relatives and good friends. I knew my mother could now sleep peacefully. I had to throw a party to celebrate; finally, my wife was an expectant mother. Depression is part of human nature. We feel different, our hearts and brains should not put our soul in the chain. What if I told you, you need to be weird and stay strange, are we unique to have a change? We don't have to change for friends to accept us. Let's be like the sky no matter how it stays blue; don't feel scared, life things do get better. Today is today and tomorrow is tomorrow, every day comes with its fortunes. Now you are a real Queen.

The following day I decided to ask permission from work. I didn't report at work that day, so we had to move to a larger house such that we could employ a House help, to help us with the house tasks.
