Chapter 2

Turpis approached the opening cautiously, peering through it to see what was on the other side.

He saw a large room, illuminated by torches on the walls. In the center of the chamber is two humanoid creatures with a height of 1.8 meters, rough green skin, muscular build, a broad and flat nose, large, sharp fangs, and pointed ear that sticks out from the sides of their heads.

The two creatures were facing a table, and what was on the table made Turpis heart grow cold. On the table, Turpis could see a human being getting dissected by the two creatures.

"What the f*ck"

Turpis muttered as he felt a shiver run down his spine as he witnessed the gruesome sight. He had never seen anything like it before.

Although he was a doctor and have seen many bodies getting dissected by his fellow colleagues, the body is treated with respect, not like what he was seeing now as the two creatures are happily dissecting a human body like it was a body of a pig.

As he watched, a boy around the age of 6 suddenly growled and tried to approach the body that was being dissected, only to be kicked by one of the creatures.

Turpis had not noticed the boy before, but now he could see that the boy was chained to the wall. And to his horror, he discovered a large number of humans chained to the wall as well

Although the thought of saving them crossed his mind, he immediately rejected it, based on the proportion of the body of the creature Turpis concluded that he was no match against it without a weapon, he was not stupid enough to just charge through and rescue the captives as he knew that an ordinary human being was no match against those creatures.

He knew that if he were to attempt to save these people, he would surely be caught and most likely be dissected just like the poor woman on the table. He had to be smart about his next move.

Turpis took a deep breath and retreated back into the passageway, continuing to explore further the cave and trying to formulate a plan.

He knew that he had to find a way to arm himself before he could even attempt to rescue the captives. As he made his way back to the cave, he searched his surroundings for any possible weapons or tools that he could use.

Finally, after hours of exploring the winding tunnel of the cave, he spotted a pile of rocks in the corner of the cave. Although they were not the ideal weapon, he knew that he had to make do with what he had.

He picked up a rock that is quite big and had sharp edges and made a makeshift knife. He knew that they would not be enough to take down the creatures, but it was better than nothing.

Turpis then began to think about his next move. He knew that he had to be stealthy and move quickly if he wanted to rescue the captives without being caught. He also knew that he had to find a way to distract the creatures, or at least separate them from each other, so that he could take them on one at a time.

As he was formulating, a plan he once again arrived at the hole, and he carefully peeked through the opening he saw that the creatures are arguing about something, Turpis couldn't understand anything they were saying as the creature spoke in an unknown language.

As the two creatures got into a heated debate Turpis saw this as an opportunity and quickly pulled out his stone knife and started carving away at the dirt around the hole, making it wider and more accessible for him to crawl through. The creatures were too busy arguing to notice the noise of Turpis' knife. He worked as quickly and quietly as possible, hoping that the creatures wouldn't notice him.

Finally, the hole was big enough for Turpis to crawl through. As he took a deep breath, an overwhelming stench assaulted his senses, and crawled through the opening, being careful not to make any noise.

Once he was inside the chamber, he looked around and saw the captives chained to the other side of the wall. They were all focused on the two creatures afraid that they would be the next on getting dissected on the table.

Turpis started to sneak around the room, looking for a weapon to arm himself with. He saw two long, sharp spears on at the side of a metallic door. He knew that he had to be careful not to make any noise, so he moved as quietly as possible.

As he was moving around the chamber, one of the creatures suddenly turned around and stormed off toward the metallic door, Turpis quickly hide behind a nearby pillar, hoping to avoid being spotted by the creature.

He watched as it approached the door and began fiddling with the lock, then move along and disappear in the dark. Turpis knew that he had to act fast if he wanted to grab one of the spears before the creature returned

With quick reflexes, Turpis made a dash for the spears and grabbed one of them and immediately turns and hide in the shadow, luckily the other creature was too engrossed in dissecting the body to notice the missing spear.

'I need to decapitate this guy'

Turpis thought to himself as he gripped the spear tightly. He knew he had to act quickly before the other creature returned. As he was slowly inching forward to the creature he notices that the creature was no longer dissecting, instead it was eating.

Turpis froze in his tracks, momentarily stunned by the creature's sudden change in behavior. He watched as the creature devoured the remains of the human body, its teeth tearing through flesh and bone with ease. The sight made Turpis feel sick to his stomach, but he knew that he had to stay focused on his goal.

Slowly and carefully, Turpis continued to approach the creature from behind, spear at the ready. He knew that he only had one chance to strike and that he had to make it count. As he got closer, he could hear the creature's heavy breathing and the sound of its jaws crunching on bone.

Finally, he was within striking distance. With a swift, decisive motion, Turpis plunged the spear into the back of the creature's neck, aiming for the voicebox. The creature let out a muffled roar and thrashed about wildly, but Turpis held on to the spear and used his body weight to push it deeper into the creature's flesh.
