"I understand meeting with nobles that may support you, but do I have to come with?" I sighed.
"Yes. It would make our cause believable if we move as a unit," Lilith told me for the thousandth time.
"That doesn't make me want to be here anymore than the last time you said that."
Lilith and I were riding a carriage to meet with one of the Dukes that I said might be interested in supporting our cause. Since I wasn't the one running for the throne, I wanted to say back and cultivate, but Lilith dragged me along. She had a valid point though.
"I can't change your mind, so tell me about this noble. I know nothing other than his name," I finally submitted.
"The man we are about to meet is Avaro Montgomery," Lilith began. "He is one of the most powerful Dukes, but he lusts for power and fortune. If he joins our side, I'm sure he would charge a hefty price," She sighed.
