Wife and Hubby

Athena Hexie Wu was very anxious. She kept fidgeting on her seat. Aside from the fact that she was sitting beside the Choi Empire's successor, the ever cold and stoic Choi Kazuki, she was tasked to play the a very important role for this long weekend.

Earlier that day...

*KNOCK!! KNOCK, KNOCK!!*

There was a loud knock on Hexie's bedroom door.

Wu Hexie groggily got up and made her way to the door. She was confused and angry at the sudden noise. It was probably too early for a school day. The sun wasn't even up, and her alarm hadn't gone off yet.

"It's so early Nanny Lin! What's happening?" Hexie whined as she opened the door.

"Wu Hexie." It was a familiar voice. And a familiar cold looking face.

"Ohmygosh!" She gasped in horror when she realized who it was.

'THE DRAGON CHOI KAZUKI!!' Her mind yelled.

She immediately closed the door and proceeded to fix herself.

'He probably saw the dried drool and morning glory on my face!! Aaaaaah!! I hope he won't make fun of my SpongeRob pajamas!'

A lot of worries were swirling in Athena Hexie's head.

She covered her body with her fluffy bathrobe in an attempt to hide her pajamas.

After evening out her breathing, she opened the door and was met with Choi Kazuki's signature death glare.

'Oh sh-- I'm dead!' She mentally cried.

"Sorry Boss, my ever amazing and handsome lord! Why are you here early in this morning?" She added a compliment to atleast minimize the damage.

"Slam this door against my face again, and I'll tear this piece of wood but you'll be paying the replacement." He glared and went inside her room.

"Y-yes boss!" She meekly replied and closed the door.

When Hexie turned around, Choi Kazuki was already sitting like a king in her swivel chair.

'Wow! What a sight to behold! He even exudes an aura of an Emperor! A scary one at that! Imma change his nickname to Dragon Emperor next time. ' Athena Hexie's mind was on a different planet. Yep, she still needed sleep.

"Before you get ready, I have a task for you," Kazuki said and Hexie suddenly felt chills though the aircon wasn't used last night.

"If it's doable..."

"You will act like my loving wife while we live at the Choi Villa." He said reverberantly.

His voice echoed in Hexie's mind.

"W-what?" Was the only words she managed to say.

"That might include public display of affection like hugging, holding hands, and... kissing...if needed." Choi Kazuki added and Hexie was about to pass out.

' Why is he suddenly asking about the romatic stuff? What the flip is happening?!', Hexie thought. Something was not right.

'Okay Athena Hexie Wu. Don't freak out! Steady your breathing. Breathe in. Breathe out.' Hexie chanted to herself.

When her internal turmoil was shoved down, she finally asked the most important question.

"Boss, may I ask why? No offense but why should I do this? Why would I act like your loving wife? When clearly I'm not??"

Choi Kazuki was not fazed by her questions like he already anticipated it.

"Why? Because if we don't, our parents, especially my cunning mother, will force us to produce an heir. And we both don't want to be parents at this age, am I right?" Kazuki rested his head on his palm while directly looking at Wu Hexie's eyes.

"W-what?! Make babies?! I thought they wouldn't do that until we finish our studies?"

"And that's where you're wrong. There's a loophole on that part because I'm already a degree holder with 2 masters. I'm just studying for a PhD program at your university. That makes us legible to be parents according to our marriage contract. It wasn't specified that atleast one of us should have a college degree, but that's how."

Wu Hexie fell silent.

'This is messed up! I'm too young to be a mother! And how is it possible for him to be already a degree holder with 2 masters when he's only a year and few months older than her? And becoming a parent is not even part of my plan for the next five years! She doesn't have enough money to buy back her father's company if the inevitable downfall of their family business happen!'

"Okay Boss. I will carry out my task. Please don't let them do that to us." Hexie went down to her knees and pleaded with her puppy eyes. But Kazuki pulled her up.

"Wu, I already told you to stop kneeling infront of me. Go ready yourself. We'll be late to school." Kazuki said and went out of her room.

Hexie felt like her energy was sucked out of her and plopped down to her bed. She couldn't believe their parents, especially Mommy Kotone, would be that cunning.

She remembered all the web novels and dramas she had read and watched about forced marriages. If one is married to a successor of a wealthy family, she is responsible for producing an heir for his husband. If she cannot, husband's family will find another woman who can.

"Bloody hell, what, are living in the ancient time?! Please no concubines! That's another headache!" Hexie muttered to herself. And she added another mission to be fulfilled. To make sure there's no concubine! No third parties while they're still married.

Athena Hexie Wu snapped back to reality when the car stopped.

"Time to act hehe! Lights, camera, action!"

She said and laughed to herself to make herself not be a nervous wreck. Kazuki heard it and shook his head disapprovingly. He went out first to open her side of the door and offered his hand.

"Let's go, wife."

"Yes, hubby!"
