However, what would happen if suddenly a god-like existence that had just saved his life told him that the world that he was currently living in was about to completely change? Strength will become the absolute ruler of the world and the weak wouldn't even have the privilege to have a will of their own. "But fret not, I will give you the strength to destroy those rules. The strong will bend their knees to you and the weak will worship you." The god-like existence said while looking at Calle straight in his eyes. Calle who had worked his blood and tears to make himself and his sister live a comfortable and joyful life, of course, refused to let his life be dictated by others and accepted the offer. But who would've known that the power that was given to him was the absolute power that all the rulers of the universe coveted. He was given the power to conquer dungeons and later call upon the monsters inside to do his bidding. He would raise his right hand and hundreds of monsters would raise their swords for him. His left hand soon followed and hundreds of beasts would bare their fangs against his enemies. His mouth would open and hundreds of gates would open as mythical creatures from the legends walked out and stood by his side and obeyed his command. Whenever he goes, his armies would be with him. Follow Calle's journey as he conquered dungeons and use them to fight against gods and higher existences alike as he became the strongest existence in the universe. ====== The start will be quite slow to get you to know more about the characters, but as the story progresses, the pace will pick itself up. And in my opinion, it will definitely be a story worthy of your time. ====== **Cover art is not mine, if you are the owner and want me to take it down, please contact me.

Not An Ordinary Slime

Having a face-off with a creature that didn't have a face was certainly weird, but here he was Calle, staring straight into the blue slime that he had just pushed away a few seconds ago.

The slight stinging pain that Calle felt on his hand didn't linger for long as his reddish skin had returned back to normal in only a few seconds without him having to do anything to his hand.

'The slime's body is acidic, but it is not at a level where I can't handle,' Calle thought while he kept his eyes still on the blue slime's body, observing each of its movements and preparing himself to react if the slime ever bounced itself towards him once again.

'This means that I can take on its attack with relative ease as long as it doesn't go straight to my eyes. However, the real problem is how am I going to defeat this thing? Its body felt squishy, I don't think simply punching it or stomping it would work…'

'But it would never hurt me more than just a sting to try them out first!' Calle thought before he moved forward and went on the offensive against the blue slime.

The blue slime then sensed Calle's movements moving closer towards it since Calle was still inside the 3-meter detection range that the blue slime had. And the blue slime didn't waste any time as it once again launched its body forward straight towards the incoming enemy, which was none other than Calle.

This time, Calle was ready for the slime's charge and he had already winded up his punch mid-way when the slime launched its body towards him.

He was about to give the slime a heavy punch that will hit the slime's body squarely, but just before his hand collided with the slime's body, Calle remembered that the slime's body was squishy and decided to change his balled-up fist to an open palm while aiming the tip of his fingers towards the slime's squishy body.

His hand then turned into a makeshift spear that was aimed straight toward his enemy. And with the enhanced strength and hardened skin trait that he got from Edgar, it was not an exaggeration to say that Calle's hand thrust was no less dangerous than a thrust of a real steel spear.

His extended hand then finally made contact with the slime's squishy body as his whole right fingers went straight into the slime's corrosive body. Calle felt the stinging pain again on his fingers that were submerged inside the slime's body, but being prepared this time, Calle didn't panic and instead of jerking his hand back as fast as possible, Calle slashed his hand downward, trying to cut open another hole on the slime's body.

The pain that he felt was certainly at a bearable level. However, the reason Calle was able to completely withstand the pain was because of what he saw with his eyes.

Seeing the slime's squishy body break open and the insides of its body splattered everywhere gave Calle the satisfaction of seeing his attack work splendidly against the unknown creature that didn't seem to have a clear weakness at first.

With Calle slashing his hand downward, the slime was thrown away with the momentum that his hand carried. And his attempt to cut open another hole by slashing his hand seemed to have failed because even though his hand's strength and toughness had been strengthened, it didn't mean that his hand would suddenly become as sharp as a knife.

The reason he was able to pierce through the slime's body earlier was due to his nails hitting the slime's body first and the shape of his hand that matched a spear that gave him the extra penetrating power to do it. The underside of his hand didn't have that supporting factor, hence he failed to cut open the slime's body on his second attempt.

With the momentum behind Calle's hand when he jerked his hand downward, the slime was launched forward more than 3 meters away, causing it to lose sight of Calle and Edric who were still observing the fight and waiting for Calle to tell him what he needed to do.

Seeing the slime was now back to its dormant state, Calle decided to not rush in and observe the result of his clash earlier.

Even though Calle now knew a way that would be effective to injure the blue slime, he wasn't in a hurry, and finding out about the result of his earlier attack would only be more beneficial for him.

First, he turned to look at his whole body to see how much damage the slime's body parts that had been splattered onto his body did to him. He felt a few parts of his body such as the lower part of his face, a few spots on his chest and his legs, and of course, his hand felt the stinging pain from the slime's acidic body parts.

However, with him focusing on moving his hand to do as much damage as possible to the slime and the fact that he tried his best to ignore the slight stinging pain that he felt from the acid, he didn't know exactly how much damage had the acid done to his body.

And when he finally turned his head down to look at his clothes, Calle was more than just surprised as he saw that his clothes had literally turned into rags. With finger-sized holes here and there while three, fist-sized holes were found near his chest, his stomach, and his thigh, and his clothes were now basically ruined beyond saving.

It wasn't expensive clothes or anything since it was the clothes that he used to play the virtual reality game, which means that his current clothes were a simple t-shirt and shorts.

He wasn't upset that his clothes were ruined, but the fact that the acid was strong enough to melt his clothes so easily was enough to make him realize how potent the slime's acid actually was. And he even thought that if the slime's insides didn't gradually disappear on its own after making contact with his body, then it would certainly be able to melt his hardened skin.

'That means that if I didn't have the hardened skin trait from Edgar then I would have…'

Calle gulped at the thought that major parts of his body might have been melted to the bones by the splattered slime's acid. And realizing that his hand might have been completely melted away if he had tried to do the same attack earlier without Edgar's trait, made him love the little baby dragon even more.

Looking at the little dragon that was flying beside him, Calle gave the baby dragon a pat on the head and said, "Thanks, Edric."

Edric didn't even try to think of why Calle suddenly felt thankful and patted his head as he just closed his little eyes and rubbed his head against Calle's hand, enjoying the affection that Calle gave him.

Calle then made a mental note about the slime's acid and he would keep it in mind going forward to avoid being splattered by the slime's acid since he didn't want to be left naked by the time he finished the fight against the slime.

Gathering his focus back on the blue slime that once again stayed dormant about a few meters away from him, Calle then began to observe the slime really closely, trying to see how much damage he had done to the slime by his attack earlier.

However, after he kept his eyes planted on the slime for a few minutes and even after getting slightly closer to it to get a better look, Calle noticed that there was nothing on the slime's body that resembled a scar on any resemblance of damage.

Both the shape of its body had returned back to a complete ball and the size of the slime's body didn't shrink even a little bit even though clearly quite a considerable amount of the insides of its body had splattered onto the ground and Calle's body earlier.

Which means that his attack earlier was completely useless and the slime had returned back to its peak state.

'Of course, there is no way this is just some ordinary cannon fodder slime,' Calle thought as he shook his head.

But then he realized, 'If only the slimes were like this, then how strong would the other creatures be…'

He thought while beads of sweat started forming on the back of his neck.
